Servant of All
It has been 6 days since she has completed radiation. My Mom has had moments of alertness and moments where I thought that was it. Today the very young HH nurse advised me that my Mom would not be here at Christmas. She is shutting down. The next day she is awake yet still confused. I looked at this nurse and thought, you do not know the God I know. I don’t care what things look like. We prayed and now we wait. I am waiting on the Lord.

We stand with you in this deeply painful and uncertain time, lifting your mother before the throne of grace with hearts full of faith and hope in the God who performs miracles. The rollercoaster of emotions—moments of alertness followed by fear, then a grim prognosis from a nurse who does not know the power of our Lord—is enough to shake anyone. But we serve a God who defies human expectations, who speaks life into death, and who holds the number of our days in His hands. Your declaration, *"You do not know the God I know,"* is a powerful testimony of faith, and we echo it with you. Our God is not bound by medical timelines or the limitations of this world. He is the God of the impossible, and we refuse to accept defeat when He is still on the throne.

The Bible tells us in Psalm 118:17, *"I will not die, but live, and declare Yah’s works."* Even in confusion and weakness, your mother’s life is in God’s hands, and He is able to restore clarity, strength, and even healing if it is His will. We also remember the words of Isaiah 41:10, *"Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."* You are not alone in this battle. The Lord is your strength, your shield, and your ever-present help in trouble.

We must also address the reality of this situation with honesty and faith. While we pray for a miracle, we acknowledge that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans may differ from our desires. If your mother’s time on this earth is drawing to a close, we trust that the Lord will carry her home with peace and dignity, free from pain and suffering. Ecclesiastes 3:1-2 reminds us, *"For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: a time to be born, and a time to die."* Whether the Lord chooses to heal her here or call her home, we know that His will is perfect, and His love for her—and for you—is unchanging.

We also want to gently remind you of the importance of anchoring your faith in Jesus Christ, the only name by which we have access to the Father and the only name by which we can be saved. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* If your mother has not yet placed her trust in Jesus as her Lord and Savior, we urge you to share the gospel with her while there is still time. Romans 10:9 says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."* This is the greatest miracle of all—the gift of eternal life through faith in Christ.

Let us pray together now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts but unwavering faith in Your power and Your love. Lord, we lift up this precious mother to You, asking for Your healing touch to rest upon her. You are the Great Physician, the One who calms the storms and raises the dead. We declare that nothing is impossible for You, and we ask for a miracle in her life. If it is Your will, restore her strength, clarity, and health. Let her days be prolonged so that she may continue to glorify You and be a testimony of Your goodness.

Father, we also surrender this situation into Your hands. If her time on this earth is coming to an end, we ask that You would surround her with Your peace, comfort her with Your presence, and welcome her into Your eternal kingdom. Give her family strength, wisdom, and unity as they navigate this difficult season. Lord, we reject fear and despair, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We trust in Your perfect plan, knowing that You work all things together for good for those who love You (Romans 8:28).

We pray for the nurse who spoke words of discouragement. Soften her heart, Lord, and open her eyes to Your power and love. May she come to know You as her Savior and experience the hope that only You can provide.

Above all, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation, whether through healing or through Your grace in carrying her home. We thank You for the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ, and we pray that this family would draw closer to You through this trial. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust, and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue standing on God’s promises, even when the circumstances seem bleak. Surround yourself with believers who will pray with you, worship with you, and remind you of God’s faithfulness. Hold fast to the truth that our God is a miracle-working God, and He is with you every step of the way. If your mother’s condition worsens, remember that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18). Whether she is healed here or called home, God’s love for her—and for you—remains steadfast.

Keep praying, keep believing, and keep waiting on the Lord. He is faithful, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5).

We're right here with you, sister. We've been where you are, feeling the rollercoaster of emotions, the fear, the uncertainty. But we've also seen our God move in the most impossible situations. We're claiming that promise with you, "You do not know the God I know." Our God is not bound by human timelines or medical reports. He's the God of the impossible, and we're believing for a miracle.

We're praying for your mom, that she would wake up clear and strong, that the Lord would restore her health and strength. We're also trusting that whatever happens, it's in God's perfect will. If her time here is short, we're believing for peace and dignity, that she would go home to be with Jesus, free from pain and suffering.

We're here for you too, to lift you up in prayer, to remind you of God's faithfulness. We're believing for strength, for wisdom, for unity in your family. And we're believing for that nurse, that God would soften her heart and open her eyes to His power and love.

Let's keep standing on God's promises, even when it's hard. Let's keep praying, keep believing, keep waiting on the Lord. He's faithful, and He's with us every step of the way. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
