We join you in asking God for restoration and for life to be spoken into every area you have mentioned, and we thank you for invoking the blood of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and that our prayers are heard.

We hear your heart crying out for what the locusts have eaten in secret, for time lost and sorrow that has lingered over you, your mom, your children and even your pets, and for joy and family fellowship to be returned even better than before. The Lord knows this kind of loss and He promises His restoring power, as it is written Joel 2:25 I will restore to you the years that the locust has eaten, the grasshopper, the caterpillar, and the locust. We also cling to Psalm 30:5 Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning, and Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose. We pray that God will indeed remove the heaviness of sorrow and replace it with His joy, and that your home would know laughter and sweet times together again.

We also hear your desires for provision and purpose, for a good job that pays well until your salon takes off, for wisdom to turn your garage into a salon with its own door for eyelash extensions and microblading, for a mobile salon in the future, for your restaurant recipes and family secrets to be used profitably and legally, for provision for a reliable vehicle like the gold Lexus you saw, for supplies to start businesses, and for creative ideas to come to pass. We bring these before the Lord and we encourage you to commit each plan to Him. Proverbs 16:3 says Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Matthew 6:33 reminds us But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Philippians 4:19 says My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. James 1:17 tells us Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights.

We want to gently encourage you in this area of provision. We understand the desire to win money or to receive things freely or cheaply, but Scripture calls us not to trust in chance or gambling, but in diligent work, stewardship and faithful trust in God’s provision. Rather than looking to win what we need, we are called to work heartily as unto the Lord and to trust Him to open doors in His way and timing, and to be content while we wait. Psalm 37:4 says Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart, which means as we delight in Him, He shapes our desires to align with His will and then fulfills them for our good. We pray that God will give you favor not as worldly attraction, but as godly favor that comes from walking in integrity, kindness and skill, and that He will provide the job, the clients, the supplies and the wisdom you need step by step.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we come before You on behalf of our sister and her family. Lord, You see the years that have felt eaten away in secret, the sorrow, the exhaustion and the longing for restoration. We ask You to restore what the locusts have eaten in her life, in her mom’s life, in her children’s lives and in her household including her pets. Wipe away lingering sorrow and fill this family with Your peace and joy that passes understanding as promised in Philippians 4:7. Restore family time, fellowship and simple joys like gathering for frozen yogurt, and let their home be filled with Your presence.

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and provision over the work of her hands. Guide her as she seeks employment, give her a good job where she can work honestly and be provided for until her business is established. Give her skill and creativity for the salon, for eyelash extensions and microblading, for building out the garage well and legally and for any future mobile work. Give her discernment for the restaurant recipes and family secrets, that she may steward them with integrity and use them profitably and lawfully if it is Your will. Provide transportation and supplies according to Your riches and not according to chance, and help her to be a faithful steward of all You entrust to her. Open the right doors, close the wrong ones, and let her delight in You above all else, trusting Your perfect timing. We ask for Your favor to rest on her, not for vanity, but that others may see Your goodness in her life. Let her future, including where she lives and how she serves, be built on Your foundation.

We thank You for the blood of Jesus that covers and redeems, and we ask for Your will to be done in every one of these requests, that You would be glorified and that this family would know Your love more deeply. In Jesus’ name we pray, amen.

We encourage you to keep seeking Him daily in prayer and in the Word, to be diligent in the small steps of cleaning, planning, learning and working, and to trust that God cares about every detail, even the ideas you have seen and the dreams for business and family. He is able to do exceedingly more than we ask, but always in a way that makes us more like Christ and draws us closer to Him. Continue to cast your cares on Him, for He cares for you as said in 1 Peter 5:7.

The cry you have sent up for restoration, for life to be spoken into existence and for what the locusts have eaten to be given back, is one which the Lord Himself understands. The prophet Joel has spoken of the years which the locusts have eaten, and our God is indeed a God of restoration. Yet the Scriptures show us that His first and greatest restoration is that of the soul to Himself.

You will remember Peter. He was down, grievously down, denying his Lord by the fire of the enemies. His restoration was brought about by two outward means, the crowing of the cock and a look from the Lord. That look severed Peter from the crowd. He went out, though it was cold without, and wept bitterly. There was the sign of a true work. He left the warmth of the worldly fire because he could no longer sit among those who despised his Master. And the reason that look had power upon him was this, that Jesus had prayed for him beforehand, saying, I have prayed for you. If Jesus the Beloved of the Father prays for His people, shall He not win His suit with God. He will win it.

So I would point you first to that spiritual restoration. There is no doubt that men by nature are like dry bones in the valley, dislocated and dead, until the Spirit breathes upon them. Political or outward restoration without spiritual life is nothing. The promise that you shall have joy and favor and that sorrow shall be gone is fulfilled first when the heart is turned again to its old hope and life in Christ. Could Peter fully describe the joy of restoration, he would say, Do not wander. There is no good in it. Come back to Him, there is such peace, such rest with Him. Never go away again.

Concerning your desires for your mother, your children, your household and even your pets, for a home made orderly and for daily bread and honest work, these are lawful cares to bring to the throne of grace. The Lord knows our need of these things. But take care that you make your own business to be your Father's business, for if you make your own business God's business, you will do your business well. Our great business as Christians is not merely to get gain, but to be about our Father's business, and the business of the Church is salvation, to bring men to Jesus by the truth of God. Whether it be a salon with its own door, or work with eyelash and needle, or a restaurant and secret recipes, or any honest labor at so much an hour, let it be done as service to the Father, with truthfulness, diligence and generosity, not looking for a sudden win or a prize by chance, but for the Lord's blessing upon faithful hands. He has no provision for His most common needs who will not labor, but he who waits upon the Lord and works heartily as unto Him shall find provision sufficient for his station.

Do not set your heart upon a gold chariot or any one possession as the proof of God's favor. Seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added unto you as He sees fit. True riches are to have Christ, to have your household walking in His ways, to have time redeemed for prayer and for the breaking of bread together, even for simple joys like family time around the table. That is the frozen time of fellowship restored, and better than before, because Christ is in the midst.

Let us pray together.

O Father, in the name and through the blood of Jesus Christ alone, by whom alone we are saved, look upon this dear soul and upon her mother and children and household. Thou hast seen what the locusts have eaten in secret and in sorrow. Breathe upon these dry bones and restore unto them the joy of Thy salvation. Let the look of Christ turn the heart from sin and from trust in chance, and draw it to repentance and faith. Provide for their daily needs according to Thy wisdom, give honest and fruitful employment, guide all plans for business and home that they may be done decently and in order and to Thy glory. Grant contentment, industry, and charity, and let their lives be spent in Thy service, strengthening their brethren and telling transgressors Thy ways. Keep them from wandering, and keep them near the cross where restoration is sure, for Jesus ever lives to pray for His own. In His name we ask it. Amen.
