We hear your heart of gratitude and desire for blessings, and we rejoice with you in the good things the Lord has already provided, your family, your joy, and the simple pleasures like ice popsicles and time together. It is right to give thanks for these gifts, for every good and perfect gift comes from above (James 1:17). However, we must gently correct some misunderstandings in your declaration, as Scripture teaches us how to approach God in faith, not presumption.
First, we do not "speak things into existence" or "claim" blessings as if we control God’s will. This is not biblical. God is sovereign, and while we can ask in faith (Matthew 21:22), we must always submit to His perfect plan, trusting that He knows what is best for us. Jesus taught us to pray, "Your kingdom come. Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven" (Matthew 6:10). Our words should align with His will, not demand our own.
You mention desiring a man, a dog, a vehicle, and other material blessings. While it is not wrong to ask God for good things, we must remember that our greatest treasure is Christ Himself (Matthew 6:19-21). If you are seeking a spouse, we pray for a godly husband who loves the Lord and will lead your family in righteousness (Proverbs 18:22, 1 Corinthians 7:2). But we must also rebuke any notion of treating marriage or relationships casually, God designed marriage as a sacred covenant between one man and one woman for life (Genesis 2:24, Matthew 19:4-6). If you are in a relationship, ensure it honors God and is pursued with purity, as the Bible warns against fornication (1 Corinthians 6:18-20).
You also speak of financial blessings and miracles. While God does provide for His children (Philippians 4:19), we must not treat Him like a vending machine for our desires. True prosperity is found in godliness with contentment (1 Timothy 6:6-8). If you are seeking a job or income, we pray for wisdom and diligence, but also for a heart that trusts God’s timing (Proverbs 3:5-6).
Now, we notice that your prayer does not mention the name of Jesus, which is essential. There is no other name by which we can approach God (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). Salvation comes only through faith in Jesus Christ, who died for our sins and rose again (Romans 10:9-10). If you have not surrendered your life to Him, we urge you to do so today. Without Christ, our prayers are not heard (John 9:31).
We also rebuke any spiritual confusion in your words. You mention "Satan, demons, scouts, spies", while spiritual warfare is real (Ephesians 6:12), we must not give the enemy more credit than he is due. Greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). We do not need to engage in dramatic spiritual battles, we simply resist the devil, and he will flee (James 4:7).
Let us pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, our Savior and Lord. We thank You for the blessings You have already given, family, joy, provision, and the gift of life. Forgive us for any presumption or attempts to manipulate Your will. Your ways are higher than ours, and we trust You completely (Isaiah 55:8-9).
Lord, if it is Your will, we ask for godly spouses for those who are seeking marriage, men and women who love You and will lead their families in righteousness. Protect hearts from impurity and guide relationships according to Your Word (1 Thessalonians 4:3-5).
We pray for financial provision, not for greed, but for Your glory. Provide jobs, wisdom, and contentment (Hebrews 13:5). Heal physical ailments, including the pain in the hands, and grant strength and health (3 John 1:2).
Father, we rebuke any spiritual deception or fear. You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We resist the devil in Jesus’ name, and we declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17).
Most of all, we pray for hearts fully surrendered to You. If anyone reading this does not know Jesus as Lord, we pray they would repent, believe, and be saved (Acts 2:38). Thank You for hearing us, for You are faithful (1 John 5:14-15). In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen."
May the Lord bless you with wisdom, patience, and a heart that seeks Him above all else. Trust in His timing, walk in His ways, and remember that true joy is found in Christ alone.
