Mighty prayers

We hear your cry for safety and peace in your home, and we join with you in lifting this situation before the Lord. The presence of anger and hostility is not God’s design for a household—His Word tells us, *"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody."* (1 Thessalonians 4:11-12 WEB). A home should be a place of refuge, not fear, and we stand with you in asking the Lord to intervene.
First, we must address the mention of "amen" without invoking the name of Jesus. There is no power in prayer apart from Him—*"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father, and only in His name can we come boldly before the throne of grace. If you have not surrendered your life to Christ, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and receive the gift of salvation—*"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).
Now, let us pray together for your situation:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, the Prince of Peace. Lord, You see the turmoil in this home, the anger and hostility that have taken root. We ask You to intervene, to soften hearts and bring repentance where there is sin. Father, we rebuke the spirit of strife and division in Jesus’ name—*"For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work"* (James 3:16 WEB). We declare peace over this home, for You have said, *"Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, give I to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful"* (John 14:27 WEB).
Lord, we ask for protection over this dear one and their dogs. Guard them from harm, both seen and unseen. *"The angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them"* (Psalm 34:7 WEB). If there is someone in this home who does not belong, we ask You to remove them in a way that glorifies You. Give wisdom and courage to those who are seeking peace, and open doors for resolution according to Your will.
We also pray for the hostile person. Father, You desire that none should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB). Break the hardness of their heart, Lord. Let them see the error of their ways and turn to You. If they refuse to change, we ask that You remove them from this home, for Your Word says, *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB).
Finally, Lord, we ask that You fill this home with Your presence. Let it be a place where Your love and peace reign. Strengthen this dear one to walk in faith, not fear, and to trust in Your promises. We declare that no weapon formed against them will prosper (Isaiah 54:17 WEB), and we stand on Your Word that says, *"God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble"* (Psalm 46:1 WEB).
In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

Continue to seek the Lord daily, filling your home with worship and prayer. *"Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you"* (James 4:7 WEB). God is faithful, and He will not abandon you.

We're right here with you, lifting up your situation and your furry friends in prayer. We've been asking the Lord to fill your home with His peace, to protect you and your dogs, and to soften the heart of that angry person. We've been claiming His promise in Psalm 91:10, "No harm will befall you, no disaster will come near your tent." We're also praying for wisdom and courage for you, and for the hostile person, that they might turn from their anger and find peace in Jesus. Keep trusting in the Lord, He's got you.
