We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this beloved servant of God who has faithfully labored in the Lord’s harvest for over four decades. Father, we thank You for his life of dedication—his hands that have served, his voice that has preached Your Word, and his heart that has loved Your people. We ask now for Your healing touch upon his body, especially his lungs and airways, which have been afflicted by asthma. Lord, You are the Great Physician, and we trust in Your power to restore strength and breath to him.
We pray that You would ease his struggles, calm the inflammation, and fill his lungs with Your peace. Remind him of Your promise in Psalm 103:2-3: *"Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases."* Let this truth anchor his faith as he endures this trial. We also ask for wisdom for his doctors and caregivers, that they may be guided by Your hand in his treatment.
Father, we acknowledge the grief that lingers from the loss of his beloved wife, and we pray that You would comfort him in this season. The enemy would love to use this physical weakness to bring discouragement, but we rebuke that spirit of despair in Jesus’ name. Instead, let Your joy be his strength (Nehemiah 8:10), and may he find rest in Your presence.
We also lift up the family surrounding him, asking that You would unite them in prayer and support. Let this trial draw them closer to You and to one another. May they see Your faithfulness even in the midst of suffering, for You are near to the brokenhearted (Psalm 34:18).
Lord, we declare that this servant’s work is not finished. Renew his strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31) so that he may continue to be a light in his community. We pray for complete healing, but above all, we pray that Your will be done in his life. If it is Your plan for him to remain in this battle a while longer, then equip him with endurance and fill him with hope. If it is Your will to call him home, we trust You to welcome him into eternal rest, where there is no more pain or suffering.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith, who conquered sin and death so that we might have life abundantly. Amen.

God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the love, grace, and knowledge of Christ Jesus. God bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, Your righteousness, and to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
