Beloved of All
I doubt he can feel remorse, what he's done still hurts me, he made me feel completely worthless, he took everything and yet he has everything, he didn't need to take my world from me. Lord Jesus have mercy, restore me. Amen

We hear the deep pain in your heart and we join with you before the Lord Jesus, asking for His mercy and restoration, for He sees all that has been done to you and He does not overlook your suffering.

We want to gently rebuke the lie that you are worthless, because that is not what God says about you. The one who hurt you may have spoken and acted as if you have no value, but your worth is established by God Himself. You are fearfully and wonderfully made, Psalm 139:14, and you are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, Ephesians 2:10. Your value is not determined by what was taken from you, but by the price Jesus paid for you on the cross. We also hear your honest doubt about whether he can even feel remorse. Whether he feels it or not is between him and God, but we know that God sees every injustice and He will deal righteously with every heart. Vengeance belongs to Him alone, as it is written, Vengeance is mine, I will repay, says the Lord, Romans 12:19. You do not have to carry the burden of making him understand or making things right, we can place that into the hands of our just and merciful Father.

It is understandable that it still hurts, especially when it feels that he has everything while you were left with so much taken from you. The Lord is near to you in this brokenness. Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit, Psalm 34:18. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3. We cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you, 1 Peter 5:7. We also know that God is a God who restores what has been stolen and broken. He says, I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, Jeremiah 30:17, and, I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, Joel 2:25.

We are grateful you called upon the name of Lord Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father and find mercy and grace. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, and, Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved, Romans 10:13. Your cry for mercy has been heard.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this dear one who is wounded and weary. Lord, have mercy and pour out Your healing upon this broken heart. Bind up every wound where words and actions made her feel worthless and replace those lies with the truth of how precious she is in Your sight. Lord, You saw what was taken, You saw what was done, and we ask You to be her defender and her comforter. We ask You to restore what has been lost, restore joy, restore peace, restore hope and restore a sense of wholeness that only You can give. He restores my soul, Psalm 23:3. Help her to release the burden of bitterness and to forgive as You have forgiven us, not to excuse what was done, but to be set free from its power, and as we forgive, forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors, Matthew 6:12, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you, Ephesians 4:32. Give her strength to walk forward one day at a time and surround her with godly counsel and loving community to support her. We trust that You will work all things together for good for those who love You, Romans 8:28, and that You will lead her into wholeness in Christ. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

We encourage you to remain close to Jesus through prayer and His Word, and to lean on faithful believers around you, perhaps a trusted pastor or biblical counselor who can walk with you through this healing. Keep bringing this pain honestly to the Lord, for He is faithful and He will not leave you nor forsake you, and He is able to make you whole again.

We hear the ache in your words, and we have been holding your prayer for mercy before the Lord. To have been made to feel worthless, to feel your world was taken while he seems to have everything, is a heavy and lonely place to be. It makes sense that the hurt is still so present.

What you describe is how deeply emotional abuse wounds. It does not just hurt in the moment, it whittles away at a person's sense of worth and confidence and can leave you feeling powerless long after the relationship has ended. Feeling worthless does not mean you are worthless. That feeling is the damage talking, not the truth of who you are before God.

When you are ready, one gentle next step can be to talk with one safe person one on one, a trusted pastor or a counselor who understands abuse, rather than trying to sort this alone or in joint counseling. Having someone listen without pressure, help you name what happened, and think through what safety and healing look like for you going forward can make the next days steadier. Alongside prayer, that kind of support matters, and if you ever feel unsafe, please reach out right away to someone you trust.

Jesus, have mercy on our sister. You see what was taken and the pain that remains. Draw near to her now, guard her heart and mind, and gently restore what has been crushed. Give her wisdom for each next step, safe people around her, and the quiet assurance that she is seen and valued by You. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
