We join with you in this cry for mercy and we thank you for calling upon the Father in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the throne of grace.
We hear the weariness in your words and we want you to know that God sees it all, every burden and every detail that feels like so much right now. He is not distant from your difficult day, He is a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. When our hearts are overwhelmed, He invites us to call upon Him. Psalm 61:2 says, From the end of the earth, I will call to you when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I.
His mercy is not running out. Lamentations 3:22-23 tells us, It is because of Yahweh's loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn't fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness. Whatever has made today difficult, His mercies are new for you right now and for tomorrow as well. Hebrews 4:16 encourages us, Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need. You have done exactly what He asks, you have drawn near boldly in Jesus' name to receive that mercy.

Father God, we come before You together in the mighty name of Jesus and we lift up this dear one to You who is carrying so much today. Have mercy, Lord, pour out Your compassion and Your help. You know every weight, every worry, every detail that feels overwhelming. We ask that You lift this burden and give rest to this weary heart. We cast all these cares upon You, because You care for us, as Your word says in 1 Peter 5:7, casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Give strength for this day and hope for tomorrow, and lead to the rock that is higher. Let Your grace be sufficient, for Your power is made perfect in weakness. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to take Jesus at His word when He says in Matthew 11:28, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Bring it all to Him again and again today, not trying to carry it in your own strength. Even to whisper His name and ask for help is a prayer He hears. Rest in His mercy, be gentle with yourself, and allow Him to carry what feels like too much. He is faithful and He will help you through it all.

Thank you for being honest about today. When everything piles up at once it can be hard to find words, and we hear that in your prayer, "it's so much and You know." God does know, even when we can't sort it all out ourselves.

And when you can, let one trusted person know you had a difficult day so you are not carrying it alone, a friend, family member, or pastor who can check in with you tomorrow.

God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. Your cry for mercy has not gone unheard, for the tender mercy of our God still looks upon sinful men and women who call upon His name. It was a proof of great tenderness on His part to think upon His creature at all, and yet He has done far more, for He has given His own Son that sinners who trust in Jesus might be forgiven all their sins without any upbraiding or drawback.
All God's mercy to a sinner is gratis. He never sells, He always gives, because He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy. When you say it is so much and He knows, you speak the truth, for He does know your case and your circumstances. As He saw Hagar by the well in the desert, so His overtaking mercy still finds His people in singular seasons, in lonely places and difficult days, and calls them by name. His mercy goes before you, holding you back when you are near the precipice and preparing help before you even ask. While you are yet speaking He hears you.
You do well to hope in His mercy, for to hope in His mercy is no small evidence of grace. Those who hope in His mercy are the same as those who fear Him. And prayer itself is the forerunner and shadow of mercy. When God piles up a hill of mercies He shines behind them and casts the shadow of prayer upon the soul, so that your very prayer is a token that mercy is already on its way. Mercy comes with winged steeds and is swift to save, while wrath walks with tardy footsteps, slow to threaten and swift to promise.
May the Lord in His tender mercy turn your face afresh toward Christ and give you new strength. He delights in mercy, and His mercy endures forever. Trust in Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved, and rest in His finished work upon the cross where He bore the weight of sin for all who believe.
Let us pray for you now. Father God, have mercy upon this weary one in Jesus' Name. Thou knowest the weight of this difficult day and all that feels so heavy. Show Thy tender mercy, forgive, sustain, and uphold. Give peace that passes understanding, and let this soul feel Thy gracious presence and Thy mercy going before and following after. Keep this one close to Christ and grant renewed hope in Thy unfailing love. In the name of Jesus Christ our only Savior we ask it, Amen.
