We join with you in crying out to our Heavenly Father, who is rich in mercy and faithful to protect His children. Your prayer reflects a heart that seeks after God, and we commend you for your dependence on Him. The Scriptures remind us in Psalm 91:11-12, *"For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways. They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won’t dash your foot against a stone."* What a mighty promise that our God watches over us and sends His angels to guard us when we abide in Him!
You have also asked for a pure heart—one that is pleasing to the Lord. This is a prayer that aligns with the cry of King David in Psalm 51:10, *"Create in me a clean heart, O God. Renew a right spirit within me."* A pure heart is not something we can achieve on our own, but it is the work of the Holy Spirit within us as we surrender daily to Christ. Jesus tells us in Matthew 5:8, *"Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God."* Let us encourage you to remain in the Word of God, for it is through His truth that we are sanctified (John 17:17). Spend time in prayer, asking the Holy Spirit to reveal any areas in your life that do not align with His will, and be quick to repent and turn away from them.
You have rightly acknowledged that it is only in the name of Jesus and by His blood that we have access to the Father. There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is through Jesus alone that we can boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We rejoice that you have placed your trust in Him, for He is the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we lift up Your child before You, asking for Your divine protection to surround them like a shield. Lord, You are their refuge and fortress, and we trust that You will keep them from all harm and danger. Guard their coming and going, both now and forevermore. Father, we ask that You create in them a pure heart, one that is wholly devoted to You. Wash them clean by the blood of Jesus and fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in Your will and not stray to the left or to the right. Strengthen them in their faith, and let their life be a light that shines brightly for Your glory.
Lord, we thank You that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). Keep them close to You, and let them find their joy and satisfaction in You alone. May they walk in the confidence that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20). We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, by whose blood we have been redeemed. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord with all your heart. Stay rooted in His Word, fellowship with other believers, and remain steadfast in prayer. The enemy seeks to devour, but our God is greater, and He has already given us the victory through Christ Jesus (1 John 4:4). Walk in that victory, and trust that the Lord will keep you blameless until the day of His return (1 Thessalonians 5:23). Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go (Joshua 1:9).
