Mental health

We hear your heart and we join with you in ongoing prayer for your mental health, and we thank you for calling on the high and holy name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the Father and find grace and help in time of need.

We understand that mental health struggles can be ongoing and can feel heavy and isolating at times, but you are not alone and you are not forgotten. The Lord sees you, He cares deeply for you, and He is near to you in this battle for peace in your mind and heart. We want to encourage you that seeking ongoing prayer is a sign of faith and wisdom, not weakness.

Scripture reminds us of God's desire to give us peace and soundness of mind. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 26:3 says You will keep whoever's mind is steadfast in perfect peace, because he trusts in you. We cling to the promise in 2 Timothy 1:7 that For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. And we are comforted that Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.

We encourage you to continue to cast every worry and burden on Him daily, as 1 Peter 5:7 says casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. Keep your mind stayed on Him through His Word, through prayer, through worship, and through fellowship with other believers who can walk with you and support you. If you are walking through deep or persistent darkness, we encourage you also to seek wise and godly counsel and support from trusted pastors or Christian counselors, while continuing to trust the Lord as your ultimate healer and sustainer.

We now pray together for you.

Father in heaven, we lift up our dear one to You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. You know the depths of their mind and heart, the anxieties, the weariness, the thoughts that trouble them. We ask You to pour out Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Renew their mind daily by Your Spirit and Your Word, and help them to take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. Replace fear with Your power and love and self-control. Draw near to them as they feel brokenhearted and crushed in spirit, and let them feel Your presence and Your care in a tangible way. Give them rest, strength for each day, hope for tomorrow, and the assurance that You are working for their good and will never leave them nor forsake them. Sustain them with Your grace and heal them according to Your perfect will. In the mighty and merciful name of Jesus we pray, amen.

Thank you for letting us keep praying with you. We hear that this is still an ongoing journey for your mental health, and we want you to know we are not going anywhere.

It takes strength to keep asking for prayer, and we admire your persistence in turning to Jesus. Prayer is one way we stay close to God and find steadiness, and simply knowing others are praying with you can bring comfort when things feel heavy. You do not have to carry this alone. We are grateful you reached out again and we will continue to remember you before the Lord in the days ahead.

Sometimes having a few steady rhythms, like regular prayer and checking in with someone you trust, helps make the days a little more manageable. As we keep praying, we also encourage you, if you are not already, to stay connected with a trusted pastor, counselor or health professional who can walk with you regularly. That kind of ongoing support alongside prayer can be a real help.

Father, we lift our friend to You in Jesus' name. You see where they are today and You know the weight they carry. Grant them Your peace, Your nearness and wisdom for each next step. Surround them with caring people and help them sense Your love day by day. Give strength for today and hope for tomorrow as they keep looking to You. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

Your request for ongoing prayer for your mental health has been heard and we will continue to bring you before the Lord in prayer in the high name of Jesus.

We know that mental affliction can weigh heavily upon the soul, and for a season the children of God may endure much mental agony even while the fruit of the Spirit is joy and peace. You are not alone in this struggle, and the Lord sees and cares for those who are vexed in spirit and faint in strength.

Our prayer for you is that the Lord Himself would be your strength and your peace. Scripture says, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee, because he trusteth in thee. May the Lord keep your mind stayed upon Christ, and may the blood of Jesus whisper peace within even when sorrows surge around you. He gives power to the faint and to them that have no might He increaseth strength.

We pray also that you may renew your strength by waiting upon the Lord. Human strength, whether of body or mind, will spend itself and fail, for apart from God it is not true strength at all. But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength. As you wait upon Him in prayer, in His Word, and in trusting dependence, may He restore your soul as one who is refreshed by cool water, and lift you up to walk and not faint.

There is one great Physician and one healing tree. Jesus Christ is the Tree of Life whose leaves are for the healing of the nations, and there is one sacred fountain opened on Calvary. We pray that His healing virtue would rest upon you, that He who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds would touch you with His hand and bring health to your mind and peace to your soul. It is that personal touch of faith in Him which brings peace, for being justified by faith we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Whenever you feel that the burden is beyond you, stop a moment and breathe a prayer for more faith and more strength. The disciples felt their own weakness when faced with a great duty and they prayed, Lord, increase our faith. You may do the same. Ask Him for strength to do His will and to rest in His will, for to do the will of Jesus is rest.

We pray now for you: Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one to Thee in the name of Thy Son Jesus Christ, who bore our sicknesses and carried our sorrows. Thou knowest the heaviness of mind and the weariness of spirit. Grant perfect peace to this troubled heart, keep the mind stayed upon Thee, forgive all sin through the blood of Christ, and heal all infirmity according to Thy mercy. Renew strength day by day, give power to the faint, and let Thy presence be felt as a quiet and abiding comfort. Teach this soul to wait upon Thee and to trust Thee fully, and bring at last that perfect peace of Heaven where earthly struggles shall cease. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, who alone is our righteousness and our all. Amen.

We will continue to pray for you. Keep looking to Christ, keep hearing His Word, for faith cometh by hearing, and keep casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you.
