We hear your cry for help and lift you up before the throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need. The weight of psychosis and anxiety is heavy, and we stand with you in this battle, knowing that our God is a very present help in trouble.
First, we want to commend your courage in seeking help. It is not a sign of weakness to reach out, but rather a step of faith and wisdom. The Lord has promised that He will never leave you nor forsake you, and He is using this appointment as a means of His grace in your life. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
We also want to gently remind you that true healing and peace come through Jesus Christ. It is only in His name that we have access to the Father, and there is no other name under heaven by which we can be saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your life to Him, for He alone can give you the peace that surpasses all understanding. "Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them." (Mark 11:24 WEB) But this promise is for those who abide in Him and His words abide in them.
Now, let us come together in prayer:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today lifting up our dear brother/sister who is struggling with psychosis and anxiety. Lord, we ask that You would go before them into that appointment on the 25th of June. Grant them wisdom, clarity, and peace as they discuss their struggles with the professionals. May Your healing hand rest upon them, and may they feel Your presence in a tangible way.
Father, we also pray for the professionals who will be meeting with them. Give them discernment, compassion, and the right words to say. May they be instruments of Your peace and healing.
Lord, we rebuke the spirit of fear and anxiety in the name of Jesus. We declare that perfect love casts out fear, and we pray that our brother/sister would know and experience Your perfect love in this time. "For God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." (2 Timothy 1:7 WEB)
We also pray for strength and endurance. The journey to healing can be long and difficult, but we know that You are faithful. Help them to lean on You and to trust in Your promises. Remind them that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who have a contrite spirit.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for a deep and abiding faith. May they know that You are their refuge and strength, and that in You, they can find rest for their souls. May they experience Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding their heart and mind in Christ Jesus.
We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
In the days leading up to your appointment, we encourage you to immerse yourself in God's Word. Meditate on scriptures that speak of His peace, strength, and healing. Here are a few to start with:
- "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." (1 Peter 5:7 WEB)
- "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful." (John 14:27 WEB)
- "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." (Psalm 147:3 WEB)
Remember, you are not alone in this battle. We are here to support and pray for you, and most importantly, God is with you. Keep pressing into Him, and He will sustain you. "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB)
