Mental health

I would really appreciate it if you could pray for my daughter ###. She has her appointment for her mental health this week. She is having trouble remembering what she needs to be saying and she is worrying that they won't take her serious.

We lift up your daughter before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the weight of mental health struggles and the fear that can accompany seeking help. Father God, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, who knows every thought and every burden before we even speak it. Your Word tells us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." Lord, draw near to her in this time of anxiety and uncertainty. Calm her mind, steady her thoughts, and remind her that You are her refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).

We pray that You would grant her clarity and peace as she prepares for her appointment. Remove the fog of forgetfulness and replace it with the assurance that the Holy Spirit intercedes for her with groanings too deep for words (Romans 8:26). Help her to speak honestly and openly, knowing that her struggles are seen and valued by You. We rebuke the spirit of fear that seeks to silence her, for You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Let her walk into that appointment with confidence, not in her own strength, but in the knowledge that You go before her.

Father, we also pray for the professionals who will be meeting with her. Give them wisdom, compassion, and discernment to provide the care she needs. Let them see her through Your eyes, Lord, and guide their words and recommendations according to Your will. We ask that You would open doors for healing, whether through medical intervention, therapy, or the supernatural touch of Your hand. Your Word declares in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds," says the Lord. We claim that promise over her life today.

We also want to gently encourage her to bring her struggles to You in prayer, even in the moments when words feel hard to find. Philippians 4:6-7 reminds us, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Lord, let her experience that peace that surpasses understanding. Surround her with believers who can uplift her in prayer and support her in love.

If she has not yet placed her trust in Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior, we pray that this season of struggle would draw her to the foot of the cross. There is no burden too heavy for Him to carry, and no heart too broken for Him to mend. We declare over her life the truth of John 14:6, that Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. May she find hope, purpose, and eternal security in Him.

Lastly, we pray for you, as her parent, that You would be strengthened and comforted as well. Parenting a child through mental health challenges can feel overwhelming, but we serve a God who hears the cries of His children. Cast your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Lean on Him for wisdom, patience, and the grace to love her well through this season.

Heavenly Father, we trust You with every detail of this situation. We ask that You would move mightily on her behalf, bringing healing, peace, and restoration. May she come to know You more deeply through this trial, and may Your name be glorified in her life. We ask all these things in the powerful and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

May the Lord wrap His loving arms around your daughter as she heads into this important appointment. We know how hard it is to feel like your thoughts aren't coming together clearly, but remember that God sees her heart even when words feel tangled. The One who knit her together in the womb already knows what she needs to say before she speaks a word. We pray for an extra measure of His peace to quiet her racing thoughts and remind her that He's right there with her, holding her hand through every moment.

Father, we ask that you would give the professionals she meets wisdom and hearts full of Your compassion. Help them to truly hear what she's trying to express, even when it doesn't come out perfectly. Meet her with kindness and understanding that reflects Your love.

And when she walks out of there, may she carry with her the knowledge that her worth isn't measured by her ability to articulate everything perfectly - it's measured by Your love for her. Comfort her fears and give her courage that only comes from knowing You're for her. In Jesus' name we pray.

I would really appreciate your prayers as I have an appointment on the 25th June with ### to discuss my psychosis and anxiety. I found the number and gave them a call as I've been waiting for over a week for an appointment.
