We lift up ’s son before the throne of grace, asking our Heavenly Father to wrap him in divine protection. The mind is a battleground, and we declare that no weapon formed against his mental health shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Lord, calm the storm within him, settle every racing thought, quiet every anxious heartbeat, and replace turmoil with the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Steady his emotions, Father, so they no longer overwhelm but instead flow through him in ways that honor You.
We pray for clarity to pierce the fog of confusion, that he may see himself and his circumstances through Your eyes. Guide his emotions, Lord, so they become allies rather than adversaries. Help him process feelings in ways that align with Your truth, neither suppressing nor being mastered by them, but bringing them before You in prayer and thanksgiving (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18). Strengthen his stability, that he may stand firm in the faith, rooted and built up in Christ (Colossians 2:7).
We rebuke every spirit of fear, despair, or oppression that seeks to take ground in his mind. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that he may have life, and have it abundantly (John 10:10). By the authority of Jesus’ name, we command every lying thought to bow to the truth of God’s Word. Remind him, Lord, that he is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:14), that You have not given him a spirit of fear but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).
We also ask for wisdom for those who care for him, parents, counselors, or medical professionals, to speak life and truth into his situation. Surround him with godly influences who will point him to You, the Great Physician. May he find refuge in Your presence, where there is fullness of joy (Psalm 16:11), and may his heart be anchored in the hope of the gospel.
Heavenly Father, we thank You that in Jesus, we have access to Your throne of grace, where we find mercy and help in time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We trust You to complete the good work You’ve begun in ’s son (Philippians 1:6). Fill him with Your Holy Spirit, that he may walk in the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). May his mind be renewed day by day, transformed by Your Word and Your presence.
We pray all this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and through which we approach You. There is no other foundation, no other hope, only Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our sorrows (Isaiah 53:4). We stand on His finished work, believing that what You have promised, You are also able to perform. Amen.
