Mental health is real

Pray that my daughter realizes that she needs mental help. She has changed drastically. Everyone around her is stressed out and suffering. I pray that she allows the kids to go on fall break vacation with their father. She told him yes but after he purchased the items her mind changed. She said she doesn't trust him with the kids. Lord, he is honestly a better parent than her lately. Let her see the kids are always number 1 with him.

We lift up your heartfelt concerns for your daughter and grandchildren before the Lord, knowing that He is the God of all comfort and wisdom. Mental health is indeed a real and serious matter, and we pray earnestly that your daughter’s eyes and heart would be opened to recognize her need for help. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came to give life abundantly (John 10:10). We rebuke the spirit of confusion, instability, and fear that may be influencing her decisions, and we ask the Lord to surround her with godly counsel, wisdom, and the courage to seek the help she needs.

It is clear that her actions are causing distress not only to herself but to those around her, including her children. The Bible reminds us in Proverbs 11:29, *"He who troubles his own house shall inherit the wind,"* and in Proverbs 15:1, *"A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."* We pray that she would be convicted by the Holy Spirit to consider the well-being of her children above her own fears or struggles. Her hesitation to allow the children to spend time with their father, despite his proven care for them, is not only unfair to him but also robs the children of the love and stability they deserve. The Bible instructs us in Ephesians 6:4, *"You fathers, don’t provoke your children to wrath, but nurture them in the discipline and instruction of the Lord."* This responsibility falls on both parents, and it is clear that your son-in-law is seeking to fulfill this role faithfully. We pray that your daughter would release her grip on control and trust that the Lord will protect her children, even as she takes steps to heal herself.

We also urge you to continue to speak truth in love to your daughter, reminding her that her actions have consequences for her children’s emotional and spiritual well-being. If she is unwilling to seek help, it may be necessary for others to intervene for the sake of the children’s stability. The Bible tells us in Galatians 6:2, *"Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."* This may mean having difficult conversations, seeking pastoral guidance, or even professional intervention if her behavior continues to harm those around her.

As for your son-in-law, we pray for his strength and patience. We ask the Lord to encourage his heart as he seeks to love and parent his children well, despite the challenges. May the Lord grant him wisdom in how to navigate this situation with grace and firmness, always pointing his children—and their mother—to Christ.

Finally, we lift up your grandchildren, that the Lord would shield their hearts from the turmoil around them. May they feel His peace and know His love deeply, even in the midst of their parents’ struggles. We pray that this fall break would be a time of refreshment and joy for them, and that their mother’s heart would soften to allow it.

**Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, lifting up this daughter and mother who is struggling. Lord, You know the depths of her pain and confusion, and we ask that You would break through the darkness that surrounds her mind. Convict her by Your Holy Spirit to seek the help she needs, whether through counselors, medical professionals, or godly mentors. Remove the spirit of fear and distrust that is causing her to withhold blessings from her children and their father.

Lord, we pray for her children—that You would protect their hearts and minds from the stress and instability they are witnessing. Surround them with Your peace and let them know they are deeply loved by You. We ask that You would soften their mother’s heart to release them into their father’s care for this fall break, that they may experience joy, rest, and the love of a parent who is seeking to honor You.

Father, we also lift up their father, that You would strengthen him in this season. Give him patience, wisdom, and discernment as he navigates co-parenting with a woman who is struggling. Help him to respond with grace and truth, always pointing his children—and their mother—to You.

Lord, we rebuke the enemy’s hold on this situation. We declare that You are a God of order, not confusion, and we ask that You would bring clarity, healing, and restoration to this family. Let Your will be done in their lives, and may Your name be glorified through their story.

We pray all these things in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Redeemer. Amen.**

For your son-in-law, we pray for strength and patience. Lord, give him wisdom and discernment as he navigates co-parenting with a woman who is struggling. Help him to respond with grace and truth, always pointing his children - and their mother - to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Healed Spirit Soul And Body

We want to thank you for trusting us with this deeply personal prayer request for your daughter and her family. It has been our honor to lift her before the Lord these past few days, asking Him to soften her heart, bring clarity to her mind, and restore peace to those who love her. We know how painful it is to watch someone you cherish struggle—especially when their choices ripple outward, affecting the little ones who depend on her. You are not alone in this burden; we have been interceding for her with the same urgency and love you carry.

If God has begun to move in this situation—whether through a shift in her spirit, a restored trust between her and the children’s father, or even a small step toward the help she needs—we would be so encouraged to hear your praise report. His timing is perfect, and sometimes the answers come in ways we don’t expect. Even a whispered *yes* to that vacation, a moment of honesty about her struggles, or a single decision to prioritize the kids’ well-being would be a victory worth celebrating together.

If the weight of this still feels heavy, if her heart remains hardened or the confusion lingers, we want you to know we are here to keep standing in the gap with you. Post this request again as a new prayer, and we will continue to cry out for her—asking the Lord to break through the lies of fear or pride, to surround her with godly counsel, and to protect those children in every way. We will pray for *you* too, that God grants you supernatural strength, wisdom in your words, and the assurance that He sees every tear you’ve shed over this.

May the Father, who loves your daughter even more than you do, draw her to Himself in this season. May He open her eyes to the truth that seeking help is not weakness but courage, and that trusting their father with the kids could be the very thing that brings them all healing. We refuse to give up hope, because our God is the Redeemer of broken stories. Keep clinging to Him, our friend. He hears you.

In Jesus’ name.
