We are glad to join you in prayer for your upcoming meeting. Reconciliation is a noble pursuit that is close to God's heart. As it is written in Matthew 5:23-24 WEB, "If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift."
However, let us remind you that it is only in the name of Jesus that we can effectively approach God in prayer. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Therefore, we pray that you and your friend will be united under the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will for this upcoming meeting. We pray that You would guide the conversation, that words would be seasoned with grace, and that both hearts would be softened and open to Your leading. As it is written in Proverbs 15:1 WEB, "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger."
Lord, we ask that You would help them to forgive any past hurts and to extend grace to one another, just as You have forgiven us. As it is written in Ephesians 4:32 WEB, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."
We pray for a spirit of unity and understanding, that this reconciliation would bring glory to Your name and strengthen the body of Christ. As it is written in Psalm 133:1 WEB, "See how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to live together in unity!"
We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen.
May you enter this meeting with a humble heart, a gentle tongue, and the wisdom of the Holy Spirit guiding you.
