We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your sister and her medical needs today. First, we must address a matter of great importance in your prayer request. While we honor the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit as the one true God, we must gently correct the inclusion of Mary and the saints in this prayer. Scripture is clear that we are to pray to God alone, for there is no other mediator between God and man except Jesus Christ.
"For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB)
Jesus Himself taught us to pray to the Father in His name, and it is through His sacrifice alone that we have access to God’s throne of grace.
"Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" (John 14:6 WEB)
We also want to share the hope of salvation with you, for it is only through faith in Jesus Christ that we are saved. If you have not already, we encourage you to place your trust in Him as your Lord and Savior, for He alone paid the price for our sins on the cross.
"For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life." (John 3:16 WEB)
Now, let us lift your sister before the Lord in prayer.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We lift up this dear sister to You, asking for Your healing hand to rest upon her today. You are the Great Physician, the One who knit her together in her mother’s womb, and You know every detail of her body and her needs. We ask that You guide the hands of her doctors and medical team, giving them wisdom and clarity as they care for her. Lord, we pray that You would strengthen her body, ease her pain, and restore her to full health according to Your will.
Father, we also ask that You comfort her heart and mind. Let her feel Your presence in a tangible way, reminding her that she is never alone. Fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding, guarding her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. We trust in Your promise that You work all things together for good for those who love You and are called according to Your purpose (Romans 8:28).
Lord, we rebuke any spirit of fear or anxiety that may be trying to take hold of her or her family. We declare that You have not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We stand on Your Word, which says that by Jesus’ stripes, we are healed (Isaiah 53:5).
We also pray for her medicine, Lord. Bless it to be effective in her body, working in harmony with Your healing power. You are the God who makes the bitter waters sweet, and we ask that You would turn any bitterness in her treatment into sweetness and healing.
Father, we thank You for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your goodness and Your perfect plan for her life. May Your will be done in all things, and may Your name be glorified through her testimony. In Jesus’ precious and powerful name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord on behalf of your sister, standing firm on His promises. Lean not on your own understanding, but in all things acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, and trust that He is working all things for her good. If she does not yet know the Lord, now is the time to share the hope of the Gospel with her, for eternal healing is found in Christ alone.
