We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up your ### and her medical needs today. We are grateful that you have reached out in a time of concern, and we stand with you in prayer, trusting in the healing power of our Lord.
First, we must address the way in which this prayer was offered. While we understand the sincerity of your heart, we must gently correct the way you have called upon the Lord. Scripture is clear that there is only one mediator between God and man, and that is Jesus Christ. In 1 Timothy 2:5-6, it says, *"For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all; the testimony in its own times."* We do not pray to Mary, angels, or saints, for they cannot intercede for us—only Jesus can. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6). It is only by His name that we have access to the Father, and it is His sacrifice alone that atones for our sins. We encourage you to pray directly to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, for He alone hears and answers our prayers.
Now, we lift up your ### before the Lord, who is the Great Physician. We know that our God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think (Ephesians 3:20), and we ask for His healing touch upon her life today. Whether through medicine, the skill of doctors, or a miraculous intervention, we trust that the Lord is at work. In James 5:14-15, we are instructed, *"Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord; and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up."* We stand on this promise, believing that the Lord hears our cries and will answer according to His perfect will.
Father God, we come before You today with hearts full of faith, lifting up this dear ### who is in need of Your healing touch. Lord, You are the God who heals, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and bring restoration to her body. Guide the hands of the doctors and nurses attending to her, and let Your peace that surpasses all understanding guard her heart and mind in Christ Jesus. If it is Your will, Lord, we ask for a miracle—complete and total healing. But above all, we pray that Your will be done, for You know what is best. Strengthen her faith and the faith of her family, and let them trust in You even in the midst of uncertainty. We ask all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We also encourage you to surround your ### with the support of fellow believers, as the body of Christ is called to bear one another’s burdens (Galatians 6:2). If she is able, encourage her to seek prayer from her local church, as there is power in the united prayers of the saints. Trust in the Lord’s timing and His goodness, even when the outcome is not what we hope for. His ways are higher than our ways, and His thoughts are higher than our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). We will continue to stand in faith with you, believing that the Lord is working all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
