Thank you for sharing this need and allowing us to pray with you. Facing a medical procedure and waiting for news from a doctor can stir deep anxiety, and it is right to bring that burden directly to the Lord.
Scripture reminds us that God's thoughts toward His people are thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give hope for what is ahead. He has not forgotten you in this difficult time. He invites you to call upon Him and promises that He will listen. That invitation is made possible because Jesus has made peace between us and God through His sacrifice. When we trust in Him, the war is over, we are no longer separated from God, and we can have peace with God.
From that restored relationship comes another gift, the peace of God to guard the heart and mind. The Bible describes it as a perfect and complete peace that stays with those who keep their thoughts fixed on Him and trust Him, a peace that goes beyond what we can understand and that the world cannot give. Jesus spoke of leaving His own peace with His followers, a peace that remains steady even when circumstances are unsettled. That is the peace He wants to give you now, whether the news is exactly what you hope for or not. As you keep your mind turned toward Him, He can quiet fear and keep you steady.
We also bring your physical need before Him. God is the healer, and all healing is from His hand. Sometimes He heals instantly, sometimes gradually, and sometimes through the natural processes of recovery He Himself designed in the body and through the skill He gives to doctors. There is much we do not understand about why healing comes in different ways and at different times, but we can trust His wisdom and His care. He offers both forgiveness and restoration, and He is near to those who are far off as well as those who are near, calling each of us to receive His peace and healing in Christ.
So we pray for you now. Father, in the name of Jesus we lift up this dear one to You before this procedure. We ask for Your hand upon the doctors and all who will provide care, for wisdom, steadiness, and skill. We ask for good news and for healing according to Your gracious will. Above all, we ask for Your peace to fill the heart and mind, to calm fear, to give assurance that You are present and in control, and to bring rest in trusting You with the outcome. Help this heart to stay fixed on You and to know that You are working all things for good. Amen.
Please know you are being prayed for, and may the Lord keep you in His perfect peace as you trust Him in the days ahead.
