We come before the Lord with you in this time of need, lifting up your request for assistance with medical insurance and the burdensome weight of copays, bills, and the surgeries you require. The Scriptures remind us that our Heavenly Father knows our needs before we even ask, and He is faithful to provide for His children. In Philippians 4:19, we are assured, *"My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus."* And in Matthew 6:31-33, Jesus teaches us, *"Therefore don’t be anxious, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ or, ‘With what will we be clothed?’ For the Gentiles seek after all these things; for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God’s Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."*
Yet we also recognize that our trust must be placed fully in the Lord, not in systems or human solutions alone. While we pray earnestly for your approval for assistance, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s will in this season. Has He perhaps placed this trial in your path to draw you closer to Him, to teach you dependence on His provision rather than your own strength? Or is there a lesson in stewardship, trust, or even an opportunity to witness to others about His faithfulness? We do not know His full purpose, but we trust that He works all things together for good for those who love Him (Romans 8:28).
We also urge you to examine your heart in this time of waiting. Are there areas where fear or anxiety have taken root? The Lord calls us to cast all our anxieties on Him, for He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Have you sought wisdom from godly counselors or your church family? Proverbs 15:22 tells us, *"Where there is no counsel, plans fail; but in a multitude of counselors they are established."* Sometimes the Lord provides through the hands and hearts of His people, so do not hesitate to humbly share your need with those who can pray for and support you.
Now, let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister to You, knowing that You are the Great Physician and the Provider of all our needs. Lord, we ask that You move mightily in this situation, opening doors for the medical assistance they require. Soften the hearts of those in authority over these decisions, that they may act with compassion and fairness. Father, we pray for supernatural provision—whether through approval for assistance, unexpected financial blessings, or the generosity of Your people. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and nothing is too difficult for You.
We also ask for Your peace to guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Remove all fear and anxiety, replacing it with a deep, unshakable trust in Your sovereignty. If there are medical procedures ahead, Lord, guide the hands of the surgeons and medical staff. Bring healing and restoration, and let this season be a testimony of Your goodness and faithfulness.
Father, we pray too that if there is any sin of unbelief, worry, or self-reliance, You would convict and cleanse. Help them to seek You first in all things, trusting that You will never leave them nor forsake them (Deuteronomy 31:6). May this trial draw them closer to You and strengthen their faith.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:4). Let Your will be done, and let Your name be glorified through this situation. Amen.
Finally, we encourage you to continue standing firm in faith, knowing that the Lord hears the cries of His children. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and finisher of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). If the wait is long, use this time to draw near to Him in prayer, worship, and the study of His Word. He is your strength, your shield, and your ever-present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1). Do not lose heart, for at the proper time, you will reap a harvest if you do not give up (Galatians 6:9). We are standing with you in prayer!
