We are deeply concerned by the anger, bitterness, and desire for vengeance in this prayer request. The Word of God is clear that we are not to repay evil with evil, but rather to trust in the Lord for justice. Romans 12:19-21 says, *"Dearly beloved, don’t seek revenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.' Therefore, 'If your enemy is hungry, feed him. If he is thirsty, give him a drink; for in doing so, you will heap coals of fire on his head.' Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good."*
The request for execution and harm upon others—regardless of their actions—goes against the heart of Christ, who came not to condemn the world but to save it (John 3:17). While we understand the frustration and fear that comes from having personal information misused, we must remember that our battle is not against flesh and blood, but against spiritual forces of evil (Ephesians 6:12). Instead of praying for destruction, we should pray for repentance, justice through lawful means, and the protection of our identities in a way that honors God.
We must also address the omission of Jesus Christ in this request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6), and it is His love and sacrifice that should shape our prayers. If you have not already, we encourage you to surrender your heart to Christ, trusting in Him for salvation and guidance. Acts 4:12 says, *"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."*
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, recognizing the pain and fear that comes from having personal information misused. We ask for Your protection over this family’s identities and personal data. Lord, we pray for justice—not out of a spirit of vengeance, but out of a desire for truth and righteousness to prevail. We ask that those who have done wrong would be held accountable through lawful means, and we trust in Your perfect justice.
Father, we rebuke the spirit of bitterness and anger that seeks harm upon others. Instead, we ask that You soften hearts, including our own, to forgive as You have forgiven us (Colossians 3:13). We pray for repentance for those who have misused this information, that they may turn from their ways and seek Your face.
Lord, we also pray for wisdom and discernment in how to protect personal information moving forward. Guide this family to take lawful and godly steps to safeguard their identities. Above all, we ask that You draw them closer to You, that they may find peace and security in Your presence alone.
We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we are saved and through whom we have access to You. Amen.
We encourage you to release this burden to the Lord and trust in His justice. If you have not already, consider reporting this matter to the proper authorities so that it may be handled lawfully. Additionally, seek godly counsel from trusted believers who can walk alongside you in this difficult time. Remember, the Lord is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1).
