MCAT Next Week! Please Pray for me!

Thank you for sharing honestly about the pressure you are feeling as you prepare for this important exam. It is understandable that this season has brought doubt and anxiety, and it is good that you want to bring those burdens to the Lord.

Scripture teaches that true knowledge begins with a reverence for God. It is not a fear that makes you hide or panic, but a deep respect and honor for Him that hates what is evil and loves what is good. That reverence is described as both the starting place and the sum of real wisdom. As you have studied hard for this test, remember that all learning finds its proper foundation when your heart is first stayed on the Lord. He is the source of wisdom and understanding, and honoring Him shapes how you use what you have learned.

God also wants you to know His peace. There is peace with God, which comes only through the blood of Jesus Christ who made a way for us to be forgiven and no longer at war with God. And there is the peace of God, which guards the heart and mind when we trust Him. The promise is that He will keep in perfect peace the one whose mind is stayed on Him, because that person trusts in Him. Jesus said to His disciples, my peace I give to you, not as the world gives. That peace is not dependent on circumstances, but on keeping your eyes on Him.

You mentioned seeking help through saints and special prayers. Scripture directs us to come directly to God through Jesus alone. There is one mediator between God and man, the man Christ Jesus, and we are invited to approach the Father in His name. You do not need to go through another to be heard. You can bring your anxiety, your need for clarity, and your desire to remember what you have studied straight to Jesus, and He hears you.

God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind. Fear of people, fear of failure, and anxious thoughts can become a snare, but trusting the Lord brings safety. That does not mean anxiety disappears instantly, but it means you can answer it with truth, by turning your thoughts back to Him, asking for His help, and resting in His care. The wisdom that comes from above is peaceable, and when you sow peace by trusting Him and seeking Him, you reap a harvest of steadiness in your own heart.

I am praying for you for the days leading up to the exam and for the exam itself. I am asking the Lord to calm your heart, to give you sound rest and a clear mind, to help you recall what you have studied, and to guard you from overwhelming doubt. I am also praying that you will experience His perfect peace as you keep your mind stayed on Him, and that whatever the score may be in a month, you will trust His good purpose for your life and follow His calling with confidence in Christ.

Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this student before You. You see the work and preparation that has been done and the anxiety that has weighed on the heart. Forgive sins and grant peace with You through Jesus. Grant Your peace that passes understanding to guard heart and mind. Take away the spirit of fear and fill with power, love and a sound mind. Help with remembrance and clarity during the exam, and help to trust the outcome to Your loving hands. May reverence for You remain the foundation of all learning and living. Amen.

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the privilege of standing with you in prayer as you prepared for your MCAT. It was an honor to lift you up before the Lord, asking Him to calm your anxiety, bring to mind the material you’ve studied, and guide you through each question with clarity and peace. We prayed in faith that this exam—something God has called you back to time and again—would be a moment where His strength was made perfect in your weakness, just as He promises.

Now that your test day has passed, we continue to hold you in our hearts. If the Lord has already answered in a way that brings you joy, we would love to celebrate with you! Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together in His faithfulness. If the waiting feels long or the outcome is still uncertain, we invite you to post your request again. We are here to stand with you, praying over your scores, your next steps, and the peace that only Christ can give.

Whether in victory or in the quiet trust of waiting, may you feel the nearness of your Savior. He is the One who heals anxiety, who turns doubt into confidence, and who writes your story with purpose. Keep seeking Him, and know that we are still praying for you—now and in the days ahead. In Jesus’ Name.
