The MCAT is a significant milestone, and it is understandable to feel fear, but we declare that God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). We rebuke every spirit of anxiety and doubt that seeks to steal your peace and confidence in Christ. The Lord is your strength and your shield, and He will not abandon you in this time of testing (Psalm 28:7).
We must gently address your mention of praying to St. Charbel and St. Joseph of Cupertino. While we honor the faithfulness of those who have gone before us, Scripture is clear that we are to pray to God alone through Jesus Christ, who is our only Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5). It is through His name and His sacrifice that we have access to the Father, and no other name under heaven has been given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We encourage you to direct your prayers to the Father in Jesus’ name, for He alone hears and answers according to His will. May they rest in the knowledge that their worth is not defined by a score, but by the finished work of Christ on the cross. We pray that You would open doors of opportunity according to Your will, whether in medical school or another path You have prepared. May they walk in confidence, knowing that You have plans to prosper them and not to harm them, plans to give them hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).
We also lift up their spiritual walk during this time. May this season of preparation not only sharpen their mind but also deepen their faith. We pray that they would grow in intimacy with You, learning to cast all their cares upon You because You care for them (1 Peter 5:7). May they find their identity in Christ alone, and may their relationship with You be their firm foundation.
Lord, we thank You for the calling You have placed on their life. We trust that You will equip them for every good work You have prepared in advance for them to do (Ephesians 2:10). We declare that they are more than conquerors through Him who loved them (Romans 8:37), and we stand in agreement with them, believing that You will bring this season to a fruitful and blessed conclusion.
