We join you in bringing this wide and compassionate prayer before the Father who upholds all things by the word of His power and whose care reaches to all He has made.

We thank God that He hears those who come to Him through Jesus Christ alone, for Christ ever lives to make intercession for us. It is a sign not of weakness but of His great love that He who has all judgment and who will send His angels still intercedes for those who draw near to God by Him. He is able to save to the uttermost, and there is no other name by which we are saved. So we pray first that you and every reader would come to God by Him and be kept in that salvation.

We ask the Father to have mercy on His creation. The whole creation was made for man and now groans, waiting to be freed from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God. As He clothes and sustains even the beasts and the smallest things, we ask Him to show His kindness to people and to animals in their need, according to His wisdom and goodness, and to lead all things toward that final renewal which He has promised to His children.

For the battles you mention, we pray that God would teach us what true victory is. Scripture calls this present life the evil day and tells us to be armed and, having done all, to stand. Victory with God is not found in overreaching or in seeking power for its own sake, but in endurance, in suffering wrong patiently rather than doing wrong, and in standing firm in faith after the fight. May the Lord grant you and the reader strength not only to fight but to stand when the battle is over, trusting not in our own might but in His mighty sovereignty.

We pray that He would keep you faithful, so that you may not prove unworthy of the good things He promises to build up in you, but may remain under His gracious rule. May He fill you with spiritual wisdom to walk worthily before Him, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.

We commend you, the reader, and all creation in need to the Father who has not spared His own Son but gave Him for us, and who still beseeches us to be reconciled to Him. May He uphold you, guard you, and bring you to that hope which does not disappoint, in Jesus name, amen.
