May Messiah Reign through Believers Re-created according to His image, Gen 1:26-27 (Salvation of Leaders to Rule in Fear of God, 2 Sam 23:3-5,"The God of Israel spoke; the Rock of Israel said to me, ‘He who rules the people with justice, who rules in the fear of God, is like the light of the morning at sunrise of a cloudless dawn, the glistening after the rain on the sprouting grass of the earth.’ Is not my house right with God? For He has established with me an everlasting covenant, ordered and secured in every part. Will He not bring about my full salvation and my every desire?"), 2 Sam 23:3-5.

Father we thank You for ordaining government through Adam, Gen 1:27, and Pray for Our Presidents, V.P.s, Secretaries of State and Defense, DOJ, Congress (House and Senate, Parliaments, Legislators) Federal Judges and Supreme Court Justices that need our prayers and support. We ask that they rule as submitted to God and rule well in accord with Scripture, as "Rulers are to write for themselves a copy of the Law of GOD upon inauguration," Deut 17:18. Furthermore, we ask for wisdom, guidance, godliness and unity for our nation's defense: The Pentagon, Joint Chiefs of Staff, Generals, Military Commanders and other Bureaus, Intelligence, and those of all peoples who need Christ, Your wisdom and Your sovereignty (which we participate with GOD in governing, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, through cooperating with His intentions and ways, Ps 86:11, through Your Word, Deut 17:18, Josh 8:32, 2 Tim 3:15-16, God-given Counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 24:6, and Prayer, Gen 1:26, Ps 115:16, 1 Tim 2:1-4).

Father, we seek first Your Kingdom and Righteousness, Matt 6:33, we cry out for wisdom and protection continually Ps 72:15, Luke 18:1, Eph 1:16, for these human individuals in positions of world influence, Rom 13:4, asking Your mercy, guidance and counsel from Your Word, and protection. Keep them from the evil one, 2 Kings 6:12, Jn 17:15, imposters and evil people, 2 Tim 3:13, let them turn away from such false people, 2 Tim 3:5, and let the evil ones be replaced, Ps 75:6-7, Ps 109:8, Acts 1:20.

We concede that there are no perfect rulers and actually see the wisdom in asking, "Your Kingdom Come, Your Will Be Done on Earth as it is in Heaven, Matt 6:10, and pray as the Disciples, Paul and John do, "Come Lord Jesus,"1 Cor 16:22, Rev 22:20...

In the interim, let these leaders know what to do, James 1:5, what to set as priorities and help them FULLY carry out Your purposes in their generation, as King David served Your purposes, Acts 13:36. Keep them from sin, 1 Cor 8:1, lead them NOT into temptation, Luke 11:4, yes we ask, lead them not into temptation, deliver them from all evil, Matt 6:13, even the evil one, Rev 12:9, Jn 17:15. It is written, You will keep them from the evil one, 2 Thes 3:3. You will give Your angels charge over them, Ps 91:11-13. Thank You in advance, Matt 11:23-24, as we trust in You with all our hearts and pray, not lean on our own understanding, Prov 3:5-6, in Jesus Name, since there is "no other Name given among men by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12, John 14:6, 1 Tim 2:5, again with thanksgiving we offer these requests, let now the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, Phil 4:6-7, The Amen, Faithful Witness and Originator of God's New Creation, Rev 3:14, even the Name of Jesus Christ, from whose Full Inheritance we each receive blessing after blessing, John 1:16, Eph 1:3, Eph 1:17-20, and in Him all God's Promises are Yes and Amen, 2 Cor 1:20.

We join with you in this burden for Messiah to reign through believers who are recreated according to His image and for our leaders to walk in the fear of God. Your heart to see prayer according to His Word cover those in authority is pleasing to the Lord and aligns with His desire for us to seek His kingdom first.

We agree that God made man in His own image, as it is written, God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness, and let them have dominion Gen 1:26, and So God created man in his own image. In the image of God he created him; male and female he created them Gen 1:27. Through Christ we are being renewed into that image, and we pray that this renewal would be evident in how we pray and how we influence the world around us.

We also join you in praying for those who rule. Scripture exhorts us, I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in high places, that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and come to full knowledge of the truth 1 Tim 2:1-4. We take this calling seriously, and we lift up presidents, vice presidents, secretaries of state and defense, legislators, judges and justices, generals, commanders, and all in intelligence and public service, that they would seek godly counsel and walk in wisdom.

We pray as you have prayed that rulers would take the Word of God seriously. It is written, It shall be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he shall write himself a copy of this law on a scroll, out of that which is before the priests the Levites Deut 17:18, and that where there is no wise guidance, the nation falls, but in the multitude of counselors there is victory Prov 11:14, and For by wise guidance you wage your war, and victory is in many advisors Prov 24:6. We ask the Lord to surround our earthly rulers with good, truthful counsel and to expose and restrain falsehood, imposters and evil plans. We ask that He would intercept evil as He did for Elisha, and that He would keep our leaders from being led into temptation but deliver them from evil Matt 6:13, and from the evil one, for it is written, But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thess 3:3, and we pray as Jesus prayed, I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one John 17:15.

We agree with you in pleading the blood of Jesus over ourselves, our homes, families, churches, pastors and leaders. We thank God for the blood that speaks a better word than Abel, for you have come to Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better than that of Abel Heb 12:24. We ask for the ministry of His angels, for Are they not all serving spirits, sent out to do service for the sake of those who will inherit salvation Heb 1:14, and For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways Ps 91:11.

We share your longing for rulers who rule in justice and the fear of God, as the God of Israel said, The Rock of Israel spoke to me, One who rules over men righteously, who rules in the fear of God, shall be as the light of the morning, when the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when the tender grass springs out of the earth, through clear shining after rain 2 Sam 23:3-4. We know there are no perfect rulers now, so we also pray with you, Your Kingdom come. Your will be done, as in heaven, so on earth Matt 6:10, and we join the cry of the apostles, Maranatha 1 Cor 16:22 and Come, Lord Jesus Rev 22:20. In the meantime we ask for wisdom for each leader to know what to do and what to prioritize, for If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him James 1:5, and that they would fully carry out Your purposes in their generation as David did, for David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep Acts 13:36.

Father, we thank You for ordaining authority and for Your sovereignty over promotion, for Neither from the east, nor from the west, nor yet from the south, comes exaltation. But God is the judge. He puts down one, and lifts up another Ps 75:6-7. We ask You to restrain evil and overrule what is not of You, to keep our leaders from sin and to guide them into Your righteousness. We trust not in our own understanding but in You, as it is written, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight Prov 3:5-6.

We thank You that there is one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus 1 Tim 2:5, and that In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is only through Jesus that we have access to Your throne, for Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We come boldly in that name now.

We pray together that as we seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness Matt 6:33 and continue in prayer without ceasing, You would grant protection, salvation, wisdom and unity to our nation and to all peoples who still need Christ. Let the peace of God guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus Phil 4:7 as we bring these requests with thanksgiving before You. We ask all this in the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.

We hear your heart for Christ to be honored in every sphere, and for those in authority to seek wisdom and walk in reverence for God. It is a weighty and faithful burden you are carrying for leaders, for the nation, for pastors and families, and we are grateful to stand with you in it.

When the scope of prayer feels so large, it can help to keep it sustainable rather than trying to hold everything at once each time you pray. We have found it steadies many intercessors to keep a simple list and bring a few names or roles before the Lord each day, trusting Him to hear and to work over time as we remain faithful. It also helps to rest in the truth that prayer is relationship and dependence on God, not perfect wording, and He delights to hear His people come to Him.

We join you in asking for protection, clarity, and good counsel for those who lead, and for peace and strength for you as you continue to intercede.

Father, we bring these leaders and institutions before You and ask for Your wisdom, Your mercy, and Your restraining hand against evil. Guard and guide those who carry heavy responsibility, and give them humble hearts to seek what is right. We lift up our brother who is praying so faithfully, grant him renewed strength, peace, and confidence in Your sovereign care. We ask this in Jesus' name, amen.

Bless me with knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in all You have called me to do.

God heal me in every area of my life. Deliver and cleanse me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. It is a right and weighty burden you have brought before the Lord, that Christ the Messiah should reign, and that His Word should dwell richly in those who bear rule and in those who are ruled. Such prayer is according to the mind of God, for we are exhorted that supplications, prayers, intercessions and givings of thanks be made for all men, for kings and for all that are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty, for this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.

You do well to plead the Word of God and to ask that rulers may write that Word upon their hearts and be guided by its counsel. As it is written, the ruler is to write for himself a copy of the law, that he may learn to fear the Lord, and wisdom indeed fits each living stone for its proper place. Religion is not a thing for churches and chapels alone. It is meant for courts and councils, for countinghouses and workshops, as well as for the closet and the mercy seat. To pray that those in high places may rule in the fear of God, with justice and with good counsel, and that evil plans may be restrained and brought to nothing, is to pray as Elisha prayed and as the apostle taught when he entreated the brethren to wrestle with him in prayers to God.

You plead the blood of Jesus which speaks better things than that of Abel, and therein is our confidence. Jesus has borne the wrath of God for His people and He lives to plead for them, and His almighty pleas are ever speaking in their favor. We need not loose any power of our own, for the Lord Himself gives His angels charge over His own, and He keeps His people from the evil one. The intercession of Christ is the mighty preservative of our faith, for He shows His wounds and pleads the merit of His great sacrifice. Happy are they who rest there.

Therefore let us make a solemn league and covenant together to wait upon the Lord in union and concert of prayer. He wrote to his brethren to pray for him, that he might be preserved, and he did not exclude himself from the prayer, for he said that you agonize with me. So let us agonize with you. Let us pray that the Lord will revive His people again, that He will turn rulers and people to Himself, that He will grant wisdom to those who lack it, keep them from temptation, deliver them from evil, and replace evil counsel with that which is honest and true. And let us pray above all that His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, looking for that blessed hope when the Lord Jesus shall come.

May the God of peace be with you all. May you find that there is always a mercy seat to go to and always the bosom of Christ to fly to, and may you continue instant in prayer, not leaning on your own understanding, but trusting Him with all your heart, through Jesus Christ our Lord, for there is no other name given among men whereby we must be saved, and in Him all the promises of God are yea and amen.
