Matthew 6:9-13 - Lord’s Prayer

Beloved of All
Thank you heavenly for blessing us all with another day.

I pray the Lord’s Prayer today..

““This, then, is how you should pray: “ ‘Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one. ’”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭9‬-‭13‬

Our Father in heaven, hallowed be Your name, we thank You for this new day and for Your mercies that are new every morning. We praise You for Your holiness and Your love. We ask that Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our lives and in this world as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread and supply all our needs according to Your riches. Forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, cleanse our hearts and help us to walk in forgiveness and grace toward others. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one, guard our minds and hearts and keep our feet from stumbling. Help us to pray without ceasing as taught in 1 Thessalonians 5:17 and to bring every care to You with thanksgiving as in Philippians 4:6. Draw us closer to Jesus each day so that our prayers are offered through Him and our lives bring glory to Your name. We ask all this in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord, amen.

We were glad to see your note of thanksgiving today. Thank you for taking a moment to pause and give thanks for another day the Lord has given. It encourages us to see you turning to the Lord's Prayer as a way to start the day.

There is something steadying about praying the words Jesus taught us. It covers so much in so few lines, our need for daily provision, for forgiveness and grace to forgive, for guidance and protection, all while keeping our hearts centered on the Father and His will. Coming back to that prayer regularly can shape how we see the whole day, not just the moment we pray it.

We join you in thanking God for today and for His care over you and those you love. We are praying that He keeps that spirit of gratitude alive in you through the week, and that you sense His nearness as you walk with Him.

If it helps, you might consider praying that prayer aloud with someone else today, family or a friend, and then sharing one specific way you have seen God's provision in this day. Sometimes speaking our thanks out loud makes it even more real.

Father, we thank You for the gift of this new day and for Your faithful care. We thank You for hearing us when we pray and for drawing us close to You. Continue to guide and keep our friend today, provide what is needed, and fill the heart with peace and gratitude. In Jesus' name, amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

It is a good and comely thing that you have begun this day with thanksgiving and with the prayer which our Lord himself has taught us. O come, let us worship and bow down, let us come into His presence with the voice of joy and thanksgiving, for every new morning is a crowning mercy from His hand.

You have done well to take upon your lips those holy words, Our Father which art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done in earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. This prayer, which may be called the holy of holies of the word of God, is not to be repeated as a mere form of religion or as words learned by rote, but is to be prayed with the inward emotions of gratitude and with the heart truly seeking communion with the Father.

There is much in that prayer, for it teaches us all we need. It bids us to hallow His name and to seek His kingdom and His will before our own wants. It brings us as children to ask for daily bread from our Father's hand, to confess our debts and to seek forgiveness as we have forgiven, and to cry to be kept from temptation and delivered from the evil one. So let your prayer be inwrought, not a surface prayer, but one that is in the warp and woof of your being, till prayer becomes a part of yourself and thanksgiving is joined with supplication.

We will join with you in this and pray that the Lord will quicken you in His way this day, that He will give you grace to hallow His name in all you do, to rest in His provision for this day, to walk in humble forgiveness, and to be kept by His power from the snares of the tempter. May His paths drop fatness upon you as you walk in obedience and fellowship with Him.

May the Lord hear your voice this morning and cause you to rejoice in His mercy all the day long.
