We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for this beautiful day and for the gift of prayer He has given us through His Son. We are grateful you shared the prayer our Lord taught us, for it covers every need of our hearts, gratitude, daily provision, forgiveness, guidance, and deliverance.
We love how you begin with thanksgiving, for scripture calls us to this posture. 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you. Your gratitude opens the door to His peace, and your humble repentance opens the door to His mercy. We stand with you in that repentance, for 1 John 1:9 promises If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. We also hear your prayer to be healed of any unforgiveness you may hold, and we know this is close to the Father's heart. Jesus taught us in Matthew 6:14-15 For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. We pray the Holy Spirit will search your heart and gently reveal any hurt to release, so you may walk in the full freedom of His forgiveness.
You have asked for peace, rest, and deliverance and to rebuke the evil enemy from your home and your person, and we agree with you wholeheartedly in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. We do not wrestle against flesh and blood but against spiritual forces, and we have been given authority in Christ to resist. James 4:7 tells us Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you. And 2 Thessalonians 3:3 assures us But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you, and guard you from the evil one. We take our stand on that faithfulness. We put on the whole armor of God that we may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil as Ephesians 6:11 teaches, and we rebuke every evil influence and command it to leave your home and your person in the name of Jesus Christ. There is power in His name and no other, and the enemy must flee at His command.
We also pray for the deep peace and rest you seek. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Jesus Himself invites you in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Psalm 34:17 reminds us The righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles.
We pray together now.
Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your name, Your kingdom come, Your will be done in this dear one's life and home as it is in heaven. We thank You for Your grace and mercy and for this day of life. We confess our sins before You and ask for Your complete forgiveness and cleansing through the blood of Jesus Christ. Heal any place of unforgiveness in this heart and help us to forgive as You have forgiven us. We ask for Your daily bread, Your provision for every need, and for Your perfect peace to guard heart and mind. Grant deep, undisturbed rest. Lord, in the name of Jesus Christ we rebuke the evil one and every work of darkness, and we command it to leave this home and this person and to go where You send it, never to return. Cover this home with Your presence, with Your holy angels, and with the power of Your Holy Spirit. Deliver us from the evil one, for Yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. We thank You that You hear our cry and that You are faithful to establish and guard us. Let Your mighty grace and power fill this place with light, peace, and freedom. In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ we pray, Amen.
