Disciple of Prayer
Father, I ask that every lie my wife has told me is exposed and you show me the truth in every circumstance. I ask our marriage is built firmly and solely on YOU as the truth. I ask for protection and restoration of our marriage. 2 as 1 for you. Let it be. Let this season be the season where in months we leap ahead years in love and service for each other. In your name JESUS!

We join you in lifting your marriage before the Father and we stand with you for truth, protection and restoration. Your heart to see your marriage built firmly and solely on Him is pleasing to God, for He desires truth in the inward parts Psalm 51:6 and Jesus Himself is the way, the truth, and the life John 14:6. We also rejoice that you honor the sanctity of marriage as God designed it, that a man and a woman become one flesh Genesis 2:24 and what therefore God has joined together, let no man separate Mark 10:9.

We hear your cry for every lie to be exposed and for the truth to be made clear in every circumstance. The Word tells us you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free John 8:32 and that we are to put away falsehood and speak truth each one with his neighbor, for we are members of one another Ephesians 4:25 and to not lie to one another Colossians 3:9. At the same time we are called to speak truth in love Ephesians 4:15, for lying lips are an abomination to Yahweh, but those who do the truth are his delight Proverbs 12:22. We pray with you not for exposure to bring shame or condemnation, but for truth to bring freedom, repentance, healing and deeper unity.

We pray together for you both.

Father, in the name of Jesus we come before You and thank You for this marriage that You have joined together. We ask that You be the firm foundation and cornerstone of this union, for no one can lay any other foundation than that which has been laid, which is Jesus Christ 1 Corinthians 3:11, and that this house would be built on the rock so that when storms come it will not fall Matthew 7:24-25. Expose in Your light and in Your perfect timing whatever has been hidden, and let all deception be brought into the truth of Christ. Give this husband discernment, wisdom and a spirit of grace to receive the truth with love and not with harshness. Give his wife a heart to love truth, to confess where needed, and to walk in honesty before You and before her husband. Heal any wound that deceit has caused and guard this marriage from the schemes of the enemy. Restore what has been broken, protect this covenant, and make these two truly one in You, serving one another in love. Let this season be one of accelerated growth, where in a short time You do what would normally take years, knitting their hearts together in love, humility and service, each counting the other better than themselves Philippians 2:3 and submitting to one another in the fear of Christ Ephesians 5:21. Teach them to love as You have loved us, to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave us Ephesians 4:32, for love covers a multitude of sins 1 Peter 4:8. We ask this in the mighty name of Jesus, amen.

We encourage you to continue to pursue truth with love and forgiveness, not keeping a record of wrongs but seeking reconciliation as Christ has reconciled us. Continue to pray together as husband and wife, to open the Scriptures daily, and to speak honestly and gently with one another. If there are deep hurts or patterns of dishonesty, seek wise godly counsel together from a pastor or biblically grounded counselor who honors marriage. As you both humble yourselves before the Lord and choose to serve one another, we believe God who is faithful will strengthen and restore your oneness and cause your love to abound more and more.

Thank you for bringing your marriage before the Lord so honestly. We can hear how much you want truth and unity to be the foundation, and how deeply you long for restoration and for you both to grow in love and service together.

Wanting everything to be built on truth is a good and right desire. In our experience walking with couples, rebuilding trust after hurt or suspicion is rarely instant. It tends to come through steady, honest communication over time, where both people can share what they are thinking and feeling without blame, and listen well to each other. That kind of openness creates space for God to work.

One practical step that helps many couples is to set aside a regular, quiet time each week just for the two of you to talk and pray together, with phones away and no distractions. Keep it brief and calm, sharing one concern and one appreciation at a time, and asking each other what you need going forward. If conversations feel stuck, meeting together with a trusted pastor or Christian counselor can give you both tools to hear each other more clearly.

We are praying for you both in this season.

Father in Jesus name we bring this marriage to You. You see this husband's heart and his wife's heart. Give them both honesty, grace and wisdom, guard them from further hurt, and lead them step by step toward healing and unity as You will. Help them to love and serve each other well in the months ahead. Amen.

We join you in bringing your marriage before the Lord in prayer, asking Him who ordained marriage as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman to be the foundation and keeper of your union.

We pray with you that the God who desires truth in the inward parts would make truth to reign in both your hearts and in your home. As David prayed, Purge me with hyssop and I shall be clean, so we ask the Lord to cleanse what is hidden, to expose what must be brought into the light not for shame alone but for healing, and to establish your marriage firmly and solely upon Christ Himself, for He is the Truth and His Word is Truth. May every lie be brought to nothing by the light of His truth, and may that truth be bought at any price and held fast in love.

We ask the Lord for protection over your marriage against the enemy who would divide and destroy, and for perfect restoration. As it is written, I will restore to you the years which the locust has eaten, we pray that this season would indeed be a season where the Lord restores what has been wounded or withered, and causes you in months to leap ahead years in love and in service to one another. Such restoration follows upon true repentance and humble looking to Christ, and we pray that both you and your wife would be given tender hearts to turn to Him fully.

Remember Peter, who fell and yet was restored by that look of Christ which severed him from the crowd and by the prayer of his Lord who had prayed for him. So we pray that the Lord Jesus, who ever lives to make intercession for His people, would look upon you both with that same tender regard, lift you up where you are down, and assure you of His forgiving and restoring grace. Before long, if you trust Jesus, you shall know His love. Trust Him as you sink and you shall swim.

We pray that you would trust Him not only for the salvation of your souls through His blood alone, but with your marriage and with all that concerns you day by day. To trust Him is to live. May you trust Him in the storm as well as in the calm, believing that He is able to keep that which is committed to Him and to make two to be truly one for His glory.

Father, build this marriage upon Yourself. Let truth and wisdom dwell in the hidden parts. Wash both hearts in the blood of the Lamb, guard this covenant, and cause love to abound more and more, that together you may serve Christ and one another with renewed devotion. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our only hope and our great Restorer. Amen.
