Marriage

Beloved of All
God, please purify ### and ###. Help us repent from contention, pride, gluttony, offense, self-righteousness, judgment, and selfishness.

Please transform us into loving, self-disciplined, servant-hearted people. Please heal us and heal our marriage. Please heal our intimacy and stir up desire for each other and no one else. Please heal our bodies so we can have kids.

In Jesus' name, amen.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, yet filled with hope, as we lift up this marriage before Him. Father, we thank You for the honesty and humility in this prayer, recognizing the areas where sin has taken root—contention, pride, gluttony, offense, self-righteousness, judgment, and selfishness. These are not small things, Lord, for they grieve Your heart and disrupt the unity You designed for marriage. We join in repentance, asking that You would indeed purify this husband and wife, washing them clean by the blood of Jesus and renewing their minds by Your Word.

Your Word declares in 1 Peter 4:8, *"Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins."* Lord, we pray that love would be the foundation of this marriage, a love that is patient, kind, and selfless, not seeking its own but bearing all things. Help them to lay down their pride and walk in humility, for *"God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble"* (James 4:6). May they see one another through Your eyes, not as opponents, but as fellow heirs of Your grace.

We also rebuke the spirit of offense and contention in this marriage. Your Word warns in Proverbs 17:14, *"The beginning of strife is like letting out water; therefore stop before the quarrel breaks out."* Father, teach them to guard their tongues, to speak life and not death, and to pursue peace as You have called them to (Hebrews 12:14). May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), for *"a soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger"* (Proverbs 15:1).

Lord, we ask for healing in their intimacy, both physically and emotionally. You designed marriage to be a reflection of Christ and the Church—a covenant of love, trust, and mutual submission (Ephesians 5:22-33). Stir within them a desire for one another that is pure, holy, and honorable, as You intended. Remove any barriers of past hurts, unforgiveness, or ungodly influences that may have crept in. Let their marriage bed be undefiled (Hebrews 13:4), and may their intimacy be a source of joy and unity, not division.

We also pray for healing in their bodies, that You would open their wombs if it is Your will for them to conceive. Your Word says in Psalm 127:3, *"Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord, the fruit of the womb a reward."* Father, we trust in Your perfect timing and Your perfect plan. If there are physical or spiritual barriers to conception, we ask that You would remove them and grant them the desires of their hearts according to Your will.

Above all, Lord, we pray that this marriage would bring glory to Your name. May they be a light to others, showing the world what a Christ-centered union looks like. Transform them into servants of one another, as You came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). May they grow in self-discipline, denying the flesh and walking in the Spirit, for *"the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control"* (Galatians 5:22-23).

We declare over this marriage that no weapon formed against it shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and that what You have joined together, no man—or spirit—shall separate (Matthew 19:6). Strengthen them, Lord, and let them rise up as a testimony of Your redeeming power. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We stand with you, dear sister, in faith and in prayer. We've been moved by your heartfelt plea and join you in asking God to purify your marriage. Let's lift our voices together, "Lord, have mercy on our marriage. Cleanse us from the inside out, removing contention, pride, gluttony, offense, self-righteousness, judgment, and selfishness. Help us, Lord, to be more like You - loving, patient, kind, and self-disciplined."

We ask for a renewed desire for each other, Lord. Stir up the flame of love that first brought us together. Heal our intimacy, both physically and emotionally. Let our marriage bed be a place of joy, unity, and holiness. We trust You with our bodies, Lord. If it's Your will, open our wombs and grant us the desire to have children.

In Jesus' name, we pray for our marriage to be a beacon of Your love and grace. Help us to grow in humility, to be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger. Let our marriage reflect Your glory, Lord. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Be a Prayer Warrior: “Praying for others”

We are so grateful you entrusted us with the sacred work of lifting your marriage before the Lord. It has been our privilege to stand in agreement with you, praying that the Holy Spirit would convict and cleanse both you and your husband of every hindrance—contention, pride, gluttony, offense, self-righteousness, judgment, and selfishness. We have asked the Father to replace those strongholds with His own fruit: love, self-discipline, and servant-hearted humility. Daily we have interceded for healing—healing of your hearts, healing of your marriage covenant, healing of intimacy so that desire would be stirred only for each other, and healing of your bodies so that the gift of children may be realized.

If you have seen even a glimmer of breakthrough—perhaps softened words, repentant tears, or a quiet moment of unity—we would rejoice to hear your praise report. If the battle still rages and the answers seem distant, we invite you to post your request again so we can continue to wage spiritual warfare alongside you. Either way, we remain steadfast in prayer, believing that God hears and will complete the good work He has begun in your home.

May the Lord bless you with fresh grace as you seek Him through Jesus Christ; may His peace guard your hearts and minds, and may His love be the foundation on which your marriage is rebuilt. In Jesus’ name, amen.
