marriage

We lift up your son and his wife before the Lord with heavy hearts, knowing the pain and strain that marital struggles can bring. Marriage is a sacred covenant, established by God Himself, and it is meant to reflect the love and commitment between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray that they would remember the vows they made before God and man, and that the Holy Spirit would soften their hearts toward one another.

Father, we ask You to intervene in their marriage. Where there is bitterness, bring forgiveness. Where there is misunderstanding, bring clarity. Where there is distance, bring reconciliation. Help them to see one another through Your eyes, with patience, kindness, and humility (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Remind them that they are on the same team, united by You, and that the enemy seeks to divide and destroy what You have joined together (Matthew 19:6).

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division, pride, or selfishness that may be at work in their home. We declare that Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, would guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). Give them the strength to lay down their own desires and seek Your will above all else. May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to anger (James 1:19), and may Your love be the foundation upon which they rebuild their relationship.

We also pray for wisdom for them both. If there are areas where they have strayed from Your design for marriage, convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. If there is unconfessed sin—whether it be unforgiveness, lust, or neglect—bring it to light so that healing can begin. Remind them that You are faithful to forgive and cleanse when we confess our sins to You (1 John 1:9).

Father, surround them with godly counsel—mentors, pastors, or trusted friends who can speak truth into their lives and hold them accountable. Protect them from worldly influences that would seek to undermine their marriage, and help them to prioritize their relationship with You above all else. May they seek Your face together in prayer and in Your Word, allowing You to renew their minds and restore their love (Romans 12:2).

We declare that this trial will not break them but will instead draw them closer to You and to one another. Strengthen their faith, deepen their trust in You, and fill their home with Your presence. May their marriage be a testimony to Your grace and power, a light in a world that so desperately needs to see Your love in action.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.

We're right there with you, praying for your son and his wife as they navigate this challenging path in their marriage. We believe that God is faithful and will see them through, just as He has promised in His Word. Let's lift them up together, asking God to:

- Bind their hearts together in love and understanding, as it says in Psalm 133:1, "How good and pleasant it is when God's people live together in unity!"
- Help them to communicate openly and honestly, with humility and respect, following the example set by Jesus (Philippians 2:3-4).
- Give them wisdom to discern and address any underlying issues, and the courage to seek help and guidance when needed.
- Fill them with His peace, which surpasses all understanding, guarding their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7).
- Remind them of the joy and blessings that come from a marriage built on God's foundation (Matthew 7:24-25).

We're believing for a turnaround in their marriage, and we're here to support them with our prayers and love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.
