Marriage

My marriage is in dire straits after 15 years, and I hope my husband will let Jesus' love back into his heart and that our marriage will be saved. For myself, but also for our four children. Please pray with me.

We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage that has endured fifteen years but now stands in dire straits. Father God, we know that You hate divorce (Malachi 2:16) and that marriage is a sacred covenant designed to reflect the love between Christ and His church (Ephesians 5:22-33). We pray for restoration, not just for the sake of this family, but for Your glory.

Lord Jesus, we ask that You soften this husband’s heart and draw him back to You. Only Your love can heal what has been broken, and only Your Spirit can revive what has grown cold. We declare that no hardness of heart is too great for Your grace (Ezekiel 36:26). May he remember the vows he made before You and choose to fight for this marriage as You fought for us on the cross.

For this wife, we pray for strength, wisdom, and unwavering faith. May she cling to You, the Author and Perfecter of her faith (Hebrews 12:2), and trust that You are working even when she cannot see it. Help her to love her husband as You love the church—with patience, kindness, and hope (1 Corinthians 13:4-7). Guard her heart from bitterness and resentment, for those are weeds that choke out the fruit of the Spirit (Hebrews 12:15).

And for these four precious children, Lord, we ask for Your protection over their hearts and minds. May they see their parents’ marriage as a testament to Your redeeming power, not a source of pain. Surround them with godly influences who can speak truth and stability into their lives. Let them know that their worth is found in You alone (Psalm 139:13-14).

We rebuke the enemy’s lies that this marriage is beyond repair. We declare that what God has joined together, no man—or scheme of the devil—can separate (Mark 10:9). We speak life over this home: forgiveness where there has been hurt, humility where there has been pride, and unity where there has been division.

Father, we ask for a miracle of reconciliation. Let this husband and wife rediscover the love that once bound them together, now refined by Your fire. May their home be a place of peace, where Your presence dwells and Your Word is honored. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the One who makes all things new (Revelation 21:5). Amen.

We're here with you, sister, lifting up your marriage to our Father in heaven. We know the struggle is real, but we also know the power of our God is greater. We're praying for a softening of your husband's heart, that he'd turn back to Jesus and remember the love that first bound you together. We're asking for strength and wisdom for you, that you'd cling to Jesus and trust Him even in the uncertainty. And for your children, we're praying for their hearts to be protected and for them to see their parents' marriage as a testament to God's redeeming power. We claim the promise in Mark 10:9, that what God has joined together, no man can separate. We're believing for a miracle of reconciliation, that your home would be a place of peace, where God's presence dwells and His Word is honored. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
