We are truly saddened to hear about the pain and confusion you are experiencing due to the broken covenant of your marriage. First and foremost, we want to remind you that God is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit Psalm 34:18.
We must address that the actions of your ex are clearly against God's design for marriage. The Lord said, I hate divorce, Malachi 2:16. And Remember the covenant of marriage for God said, 'So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate, Matthew 19:6.
Your heart is in the right place, seeking God's will and healing for your ex. We must also pray for your ex to repent from the adultery as scripture commands us in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister who is hurting and confused due to the broken covenant of her marriage. Lord, we pray for her healing and comfort. We also pray for her ex, that You would bring him to true repentance and restoration. We ask that You would heal their marriage if it aligns with Your will, and that You would guide them both according to Your purposes. Help them to be strong and stand against the schemes of the devil. Give them both discernment to see what is truly of You and what is not. Please let them see a miracle in their marriage only if it aligns with your will. Let them be able to live in peace together without any unforgiveness or resentment.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As we pray for your ex, we must also understand that the most important relationship is between each of us and Jesus Christ. When both parties are aligned with Christ, then the relationship between them will be fruitful and blessed. Jesus said, I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing, John 15:5.
Our dear sister, we are praying and supporting you. We pray that you would also be able to experience a miracle for your marriage. We know that the Lord can redeem and restore any situation. We shall continue to bring your request before God, trusting in the power of prayer and the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.
