We are so glad you've reached out with your prayer request, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your life.
Firstly, we want to commend you for acknowledging Jesus Christ in your prayer. It is only through His name that we have access to God. As it is written in Scripture: For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB).
Let's address the issues in your marriage. It's clear that there is a need for reconciliation and forgiveness between you and your wife. As it is written: Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you (Ephesians 4:32 WEB). We pray that God will soften both of your hearts and grant you the grace to forgive each other, as He has forgiven us through Christ.
We also pray for the strength for both of you to walk away from alcohol and any form of substance abuse. As it is written: Don't be drunken with wine, in which is dissipation, but be filled with the Spirit (Ephesians 5:18 WEB). We understand that overcoming addiction is challenging, but with God's help, all things are possible. Remember, you are not alone in this struggle.
Regarding your health concerns, we believe in God's power to heal. As it is written: Is any sick among you? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. (James 5:14-15 WEB). We pray for God's healing touch upon your liver, your back, and your bones. We ask God to grant you wisdom and guidance regarding your health and any medical decisions you may face.
Lastly, continue to seek God's will for your life and your marriage. Trust in Him to provide the strength and guidance you need. As it is written: Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother and his wife. We ask for Your grace and mercy to fill their hearts, that they may forgive each other and love each other as You have loved us. Help them to overcome their struggles with alcohol and substance abuse, and grant them the strength to resist temptation. We pray for healing over his body, that Your healing touch would restore his liver, his back, and his bones. Guide him in his health decisions, and give him wisdom and discernment. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
