Lord, I come before your throne in the name of Jesus. I cover myself with the Blood of Jesus. I join in hands and spirit with all your intercessors and your prayer warriors around the world. We thank you that you reconciled us to yourself in Christ and have given us the ministry of reconciliation. We are your ambassadors and we make appeals on your behalf. We declare and decree, that you will reconcile all the families of the earth in the name of Jesus. Lord we stand in the gap and declare that you will restore all the faithless spouses back to you and to their families. (2 Cor. 5:18, 20) We declare and decree that all will honor marriage and that the marriage bed will be kept pure. You, Oh, LORD have the power to restore the adulterer and transform the sexually immoral." (Hebrews 13:4)
Oh LORD, God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps his covenant of love with those who love and obey his command, let your ear be attentive and the prayer we pray before you day and night, in behalf of our spouses and all the families of the earth. We confess our sins the sins of our spouses, and the sins of our fathers. We have acted very wickedly toward you. We have not obeyed your commands, decrees and laws you gave us in your word. But you said that if we returned to you and obey you, you would return your exiled people, even from the farthest horizon. Lord we ask you to be merciful to our spouses who have derailed from your path. We lift a prayer wall on their behalf and plead your mercy on them. Please grant us success in our prayer to the King. (Nehemiah 1:6-11)
Have mercy on them, O God, according to your unfailing love and your great compassion, blot out their transgressions. Wash away their iniquity and cleanse them from their sin. Let them acknowledge their transgressions and enable them to see their sin before them. They have sinned against you and done evil in your sight. Wash them with the blood of Jesus. Create in them a pure heart, and renew a steadfast spirit within them." (Psalm 51:1-4,7,10) Lord, let your word burn all their impure thoughts and breaks the strongholds of deception into pieces?" (Jeremiah 23:29) Let your Word penetrate into their soul and spirit, joints and marrow and discern the thoughts and the intents of their heart. (Hebrews 4:12) Sanctify them by the truth of your word. (John 17:17)
LORD, open up their eyes and turn them from darkness into your light and from the power of Satan and into you. Grant them repentance, which will lead them to the knowledge of the truth that they may come back to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will. Grant them forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Jesus.'" (Acts 26:18) (2 Tim. 2:25,26) Let them realize how evil and bitter it is to forsake the Lord. (Jer. 2:17,19) Let them realize that they are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. (Rev. 3:17) LORD, return the faithless spouses and cure them of their backsliding. (Jer. 3:22) Send forth your word and heal them; rescue them from the grave. (Psalm 107:20) Exhaust their resources and bring them back to their senses like the prodigal son. (Luke 15:17)
LORD, restore faith to our spouses and deliver them from all deceiving spirits. (1 Tim. 4:1) LORD, let them hear and obey only your voice, for you are their shepherd. (John 10:5-6) Bring your wayward children back to you. (Jer. 3:14) Break down their altars; smash their sacred pillars (Hosea 10:2) Make thorns and thistles grow up around their altars. (Hosea 10:8) Lord, block their path with thorn bushes. Wall them in when they chase after their lovers, so that they will choose to go back to their spouses. (Hosea 2:6-7) and rejoice once again with the wife/husband of their youth. (Prov. 5:18) LORD, speak to them in many ways. Allow them to perceive it; in a dream, in a vision, in their deep sleep. As they slumber in their beds, speak into their ears. Terrify them with warnings to turn them from their wrongdoing and keep them from pride; to save their soul from the pit and their life from the sword. (Job 33:14-18)
Lord, we are confident of this, that when we pray according to your will, you hear us and grant our requests. Lord, restore life to our spouses. (1 John 5:14-16) You are able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine. (Eph. 3:20) Lord, grant justice to us quickly, for we cry out to you day and night. (Luke 18:7,8) We declare that these spouses will no longer conform to the pattern of this world, but will be transformed by the renewing of their mind that they may be able to test, approve, and be lined up to your good, pleasing, and perfect will. (Romans 12:2). Help them escape from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Teach them to pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace with godly people. (II Tim. 2:22) Cause them to love you and obey your commandments (John 14:15) Set them free with the knowledge of your truth. (John 8:32)
Lord, shine your light on our spouses; let them surrender to your voice and turn them from their sinful road. (Acts 9:3-4) Let the blinding scales fall off their eyes this very moment. (Acts 19:18) Give them a heart to understand, eyes to see, and ears to hear your Spirit. (Deuteronomy 29:4) LORD give them an undivided heart and breathe a new spirit of resurrection in them. Replace their heart of stone with a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 11:19) Inject the fear of the Lord inside their hearts to turn them away from the snares of death (Prov. 14:27) Write your laws inside their hearts (Jeremiah 31:33) By the sword of the Spirit, we sever all soul ties and connections between our spouses and the adulteress/adulterer and their seductive words. Lord, keep their feet far from their path; do not allow them near the door of their house.
Have mercy on these runaway spouses, who have left their homes and betrayed their families. Transform them with the knowledge of your truth. Restore them to their families, no longer as slaves but as useful servants to both, their families and to God. (Philelmon 1) Let them acknowledge that you reign, Lord. Convict them to renounce their sins and wickedness. Restore their sanity. Bring them to glorify your name. For you are a righteous and just God, and those who walk in pride you are able to humble. (Daniel 4:26,27,37) Humble their hearts to pray , to seek you, and to turn from their wicked ways. Forgive their sin and heal their land. (2 Chron. 7:14)
Lord, we pray that you stomp out divorce in our churches, in our nation, state, and our cities. Lord restore marriages all across our land, ###, ###,###, ###, our communities, and our family.
We praise you, Oh, LORD our God; you alone do marvelous deeds. We praise your glorious name forever. The whole earth is filled with your glory. (Psalm 72:18-20) We trust you, LORD; you will bring justice, if we will only wait. (Job 35:14) Some trust in chariots, some trust in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God. (Psalm 20:7) In the time of your favor, you will answer us; in the day of salvation you will help us. You will keep us and will make us to be a covenant for the people; to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritance. (Isaiah 49:8) NOW is the time of God’s favor, NOW is the day of salvation! (2 Cor. 6:2) In Jesus name Amen.
