We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up this marriage in earnest prayer. Father God, we know that marriage is a sacred covenant, instituted by You, designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His Church. We pray for restoration in this union, not just for the sake of the couple, but for Your glory and honor. Lord, we ask that You would soften hearts, heal wounds, and rebuild trust where it has been broken. Help both husband and wife to submit to one another out of reverence for Christ, as Your Word instructs in Ephesians 5:21, "subjecting yourselves to one another in the fear of Christ."
We rebuke any spirit of division, bitterness, or unforgiveness that may be at work in this marriage. The enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but we declare that no weapon formed against this union shall prosper, for You have promised in Isaiah 54:17, "No weapon that is formed against you will prevail; and you will condemn every tongue that accuses you in judgment. This is the heritage of the Lord’s servants, and their righteousness is from me." Lord, we ask that You would bind the enemy’s schemes and restore this marriage to a place of love, peace, and unity.
Father, we also lift up the financial struggles this family is facing. You are Jehovah Jireh, our Provider, and we trust in Your promise that You will supply every need according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19). We pray for breakthrough in their finances, for wisdom in stewardship, and for doors of opportunity to open that no man can shut. Break every chain of lack and poverty, and let Your abundance flow into their lives. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, knowing that all these things will be added unto them (Matthew 6:33).
We also pray for good health for this family. You are the Great Physician, and we ask that You would touch each member with Your healing hand. Strengthen their bodies, minds, and spirits, and protect them from sickness and disease. We declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (Isaiah 53:5), and we stand on the promise that You will satisfy them with long life (Psalm 91:16).
Lord, we must also address the importance of seeking You above all else. It is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to You, Father. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We pray that this couple would draw near to You, repent of any sin, and walk in obedience to Your Word. If there has been any unfaithfulness, whether physically or emotionally, we rebuke it in the name of Jesus. Fornication and adultery are sins that grieve Your heart, and we ask for true repentance and restoration in this area. Help them to flee from sexual immorality, as Your Word commands in 1 Corinthians 6:18, "Flee sexual immorality! 'Every sin that a man does is outside the body,' but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body."
We also encourage this couple to seek godly counsel if they have not already done so. Proverbs 11:14 tells us, "Where there is no counsel, the people fall, but in the multitude of counselors there is safety." Surround them with believers who can speak truth into their lives and help guide them back to a place of unity and strength in You.
Father, we thank You for the power of prayer and for the promise that where two or three are gathered in Your name, You are there in the midst of them (Matthew 18:20). We stand in agreement with this couple, believing that You are able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20). We declare that this marriage will be restored, that financial breakthrough will come, and that health will be renewed, all for Your glory.
We pray all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, Amen.
