We understand that you are seeking prayer for your desire to get married. First, we want to assure you that God has a plan and a purpose for your life, including your marital status. It is important to remember that God's timing is perfect, and He knows the desires of your heart.
We must also remember that marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed by God to reflect the relationship between Christ and the Church. As it is written in Ephesians 5:31-32 WEB: "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh.' This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the church."
As you wait on the Lord, we encourage you to use this time to grow in your relationship with Him. Seek His will for your life and trust that He will provide a godly spouse in His perfect timing. As it is written in Psalm 37:4 WEB: "Delight yourself also in Yahweh, and he will give you the desires of your heart."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today to lift up our brother/sister in Christ who desires to be married. We thank You, that You know the desire of our hearts and that Your timing is perfect. We pray that they will delight in You and that You will give them the desires of their heart.
We pray also that You will prepare them for marriage, that You will mold them into the godly spouse that You desire them to be. We pray that they will seek You first, and that You will provide a godly spouse in Your perfect timing.
We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Remember that God is faithful and that He wants the best for you. Trust in Him and His timing, and seek Him first in all things. Also, Mary, an angel, or non-living saints are not to be prayed to, only God. We only have access to God through Jesus Christ. In John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me." Let us know how we can continue to pray for you and support you in this season of waiting.
