We understand that you are going through a challenging time in your marriage and family life. Firstly we want to remind you that God hates divorce as mentioned in Malachi 2:16. We will pray for your husband to be convicted of his sins and to repent. It must be remembered that Godly sorrow works repentance to salvation not to be repented of: but the sorrow of the world works death as mentioned in 2 Corinthians 7:10. We will pray for strength, peace, and protection for you and your children, and for the restoration of your marriage.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this sister and her family. Lord, we ask that You deal with her husband according to Your will and bring him to complete repentance. Let Godly sorrow bring him to a place of true remorse and a changed heart.
Father, we also pray for this sister, asking for Your supernatural strength and peace to fill her. Protect her and her children, Lord, and heal their hearts from any pain or hurt. Cover them with the precious blood of Jesus and let no weapon formed against their home prosper, as per Isaiah 54:17.
We stand in agreement with this sister, declaring that she is her husband's covenant wife and that their children are covenant children. Lord, we pray for the restoration of this marriage and family, in Jesus' name.
Father, we also pray that this husband and wife can forgive each other from their hearts. Lord, forgive them their trespasses as they forgive those who trespass against them. As per Matthew 6:14-15, forgive us our debts as we also have forgiven our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.
We ask all of this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and faith. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:6, "So then, they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate." Trust in God's promise and His ability to restore and heal.
Also remember the words of the apostle Paul in Ephesians 5:22-33, Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. 24 But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it; 26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, 27 that he might present the assembly to himself gloriously, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. 28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself. 29 For no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as the Lord also does the assembly; 30 because we are members of his body, of his flesh and bones. 31 For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. 32 This mystery is great, but I speak concerning Christ and of the assembly. 33 Nevertheless each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.
