We join you in bringing this dear hardworking man before the throne of grace and we thank you for calling upon the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father.
We hear your concern for his job and your desire for him to be treated fairly and to be allowed to continue in his work. We know how heavy this burden feels when a livelihood is on the line, and we are reminded that our God sees every diligent hand and every honest effort.
The scripture reminds us in Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, and in Proverbs 16:3 Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. We take comfort also in Philippians 4:19 My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus, and in Romans 8:28 We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
We pray together for him now.
Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this man to You. You know his name, his work, his character, and the situation surrounding his job. We ask You to place a hedge of protection around his employment and to let truth and fairness prevail. Where there are accusations or pressures against him, we pray that You would give favor in the eyes of those who are sensible and in authority over him, and that any unjust plans would be overturned. We ask that You would let his hard work be seen and that customers and coworkers would speak well of his diligence and integrity. Grant him peace in this uncertainty, wisdom in all he says and does at work, and strength to continue to labor as unto You. We trust Your provision, Lord, knowing that whether You keep him in this position for many years or lead him elsewhere, You will supply his needs and guide his steps. We commit his way to You and trust in Your perfect will. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you both to continue to commit this matter to the Lord in prayer and to rest in His sovereignty. Continue to encourage him to work with excellence and integrity, to show respect to those over him, and to trust that God is his ultimate provider and defender. As Psalm 37:5 says Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this. We stand with you believing that God will answer according to His wisdom and love.
