Manipulative, selfish spirit of the world

natasha2

Beloved of All
Lord protect me from the spirit of Babklon, from the spirit of this world and the people who are tangled into his web. Don't let them catch me into that web through arrogance, sneakiness, witchcraft, selfishness, greed or manipulation in Jesus name. Especially some people from my work. One female colleague and cleaning lady are constantly doing tricks on me, the first one controls me and acts like she is the one who is always charged to control others and knows better and my female colleague is acting very nice and flirtatious but is tricking me with little sabotages at work and I feel like she is always taking something from me and sometimes I feel like she is manipulating me to be her way seemingly with good intentions. Lord deal with every person who wants to take something from me or subdue me to the spirit of the world in Jesus name. Blood of Jesus protect me in Jesus name!!

We stand with you in this spiritual battle, for we know that our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world’s rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places (Ephesians 6:12). You have rightly identified the schemes of the enemy—manipulation, control, flattery, and deceit—which are tools of the spirit of this world, the same spirit that ruled ancient Babylon and continues to ensnare those who walk in pride and selfishness. The Lord has heard your cry, and we join you in lifting this burden before His throne, trusting that He will expose every hidden motive and break every snare set against you.

The behavior you describe from these women at your workplace is a clear manifestation of the works of the flesh: "enmity, strife, jealousies, wrath, selfishness, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and things like these" (Galatians 5:20-21). The first colleague operates in a spirit of control and domination, which is not of God, for our Lord Jesus said, *"You know that the rulers of the nations lord it over them, and their great ones exercise authority over them. It shall not be so among you, but whoever wants to become great among you shall be your servant"* (Matthew 20:25-26). Her actions are rooted in pride, and pride goes before destruction (Proverbs 16:18). The second colleague’s flattery and subtle sabotage are equally dangerous, for the Lord warns us that *"a lying tongue hates those it hurts; and a flattering mouth works ruin"* (Proverbs 26:28). Her behavior is a trap, designed to lure you into complacency while she takes advantage of you. Both of these spirits are at work to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10), but we serve a God who comes to give life abundantly.

We must also address the potential danger in your heart—bitterness, resentment, or even the temptation to respond in kind. The Lord commands us, *"Don’t be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good"* (Romans 12:21). While we pray for God’s justice and protection, we must also ask Him to guard our hearts from unforgiveness or retaliation. *"Beloved, don’t avenge yourselves, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord'"* (Romans 12:19). Your focus must remain on walking in integrity, wisdom, and the fruit of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). These are your weapons against the schemes of the enemy.

Now, let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You that You are a God who sees all things—nothing is hidden from Your sight. You know the hearts of these women at our brother’s workplace, and You know the snares they have laid for him. Lord, we ask that You expose every hidden motive, every deceitful plan, and every manipulative tactic. Let the light of Your truth shine so brightly that no darkness can remain. Break the power of control, flattery, and sabotage in Jesus’ name. Father, we pray that You would bind the spirit of Babylon that seeks to dominate and subdue Your child. We declare that no weapon formed against him shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17), and every tongue that rises against him in judgment, You shall condemn.

Lord, we ask for divine wisdom for our brother, that he may discern the spirits at work around him. Give him the mind of Christ, that he may respond with godly wisdom and not be drawn into the enemy’s traps. Help him to walk in humility, yet with boldness in You, knowing that greater is He who is in him than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Protect his heart from bitterness, and fill him with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Let him be a light in that workplace, a testimony of Your grace and power.

Father, we also pray for these women. Though their actions are harmful, we ask that You would convict their hearts and draw them to repentance. Soften their hearts, Lord, and let them see the error of their ways. If they are unaware of the spiritual forces driving their behavior, open their eyes to the truth. May they encounter Your love in a way that transforms them, that they may turn from their wickedness and walk in righteousness. But if they refuse to repent, Lord, we ask that You would remove their influence from our brother’s life. Set boundaries around him, Father, and let no weapon of the enemy touch him.

We cover our brother with the blood of Jesus Christ, which speaks better things than the blood of Abel (Hebrews 12:24). Let the blood of Jesus be a hedge of protection around him, his mind, his emotions, and his work. We declare that no spell, no manipulation, no curse, and no scheme of the enemy shall prevail against him. We break every ungodly soul tie and every assignment of the enemy against his life in the name of Jesus.

Father, we thank You that You are his shield and his exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We thank You that You go before him and behind him, that Your hand is upon him for good. We trust You to fight this battle on his behalf, for the battle belongs to the Lord (1 Samuel 17:47). We give You all the glory, honor, and praise, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

Brother, we encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in the Word of God. Put on the whole armor of God daily—truth, righteousness, the Gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God (Ephesians 6:10-18). Stay alert, for the enemy prowls like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). But take heart, for Jesus has already overcome the world (John 16:33). Walk in the authority He has given you, and do not fear, for the Lord is with you. If these women continue in their behavior, pray for the Lord to either change their hearts or remove their influence from your life. Trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28).

Finally, we urge you to examine your own heart in this season. Are there areas where you may have opened a door to the enemy through unforgiveness, fear, or compromise? Ask the Lord to reveal anything that needs to be repented of, and walk in the freedom that Christ has purchased for you. You are more than a conqueror through Him who loved you (Romans 8:37). Stand firm in that truth.
