We lift up your mother in this critical time, standing together in faith and earnest prayer before the throne of grace. Heavenly Father, we come before You with heavy hearts, yet trusting in Your sovereign power and unfailing love. Your Word declares in Psalm 30:2, "Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me." We claim this promise over her life, believing that You are able to restore her fully according to Your will.
Lord, we ask that You would touch her body and awaken her from this deep sleep. Let her eyes open to the light of Your presence, and let her lungs fill with the breath of life as You command the breath to return to her. We pray against every spirit of infirmity and death, rebuking them in the mighty name of Jesus. Your Word says in Ezekiel 37:5, "Thus says the Lord God to these bones: 'Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.'" We stand on this promise, believing that You can breathe life into her once more.
We also pray for her strength to return in full measure, that she may be freed from the ventilator and the tube that sustains her. Lord, we ask that You would guide the hands of the medical professionals caring for her, giving them wisdom and discernment as they seek to bring healing. We trust in Your healing power, as it is written in Jeremiah 30:17, "For I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says the Lord."
Father, we also lift up the emotional and spiritual needs of this family. May they find peace and comfort in Your presence, knowing that You are in control. Strengthen their faith and remind them that You are near to the brokenhearted. We pray that they would draw closer to You in this time of trial, finding hope in Your promises.
If there is any unconfessed sin or unforgiveness in the lives of those connected to this situation, we pray that You would bring it to light and lead them to repentance. Your Word tells us in James 5:16, "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed." We ask for a spirit of humility and reconciliation, that nothing would hinder Your healing power.
We also want to gently remind this family of the importance of calling on the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we can be saved or healed. Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We pray that they would place their trust fully in Jesus Christ, the Great Physician, and invite Him to work mightily in this situation.
Lord, we ask all these things according to Your perfect will, knowing that Your plans for us are plans for good and not for harm, to give us a future and a hope (Jeremiah 29:11). Whether You choose to heal her miraculously or to call her home to be with You, we trust in Your goodness and love. May Your name be glorified in every outcome.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
