We understand that you're seeking a major rest from all abuse and trauma in your life, and you're grateful for the unexpected blessings and the miracle turnaround you've been experiencing. We stand with you in prayer and offer some biblical encouragement and advice.
Firstly, we're glad that you acknowledged Jesus Christ by name in your prayer request. It is only by calling on Jesus Christ that we can be saved and saved means much more than forgiveness of sin or going to Heaven. Before Jesus Christ came to Earth, even the righteous people in the Old Testament could not be saved in that they could not go to Heaven. They could only go to a place called Abraham's bosom which is a holding area for the righteous people who died before Jesus Christ came to Earth. The Bible says, If thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. (Romans 10:9-10 WEB). Jesus Christ stated that not everyone who says to me, Lord, Lord will enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. Jesus Christ warned that many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy by your name, by your name cast out demons, and by your name do many mighty works? Then will I tell them, I never knew you: depart from me, you who work iniquity. (Matthew 7:21-23 WEB). Jesus Christ said that these people who are being rejected by Jesus Christ that they thought they could get to Heaven by doing good works. But good works will not get anyone to Heaven. Only believing on Jesus Christ gets anyone to Heaven.
Now, let's address the abuse and trauma you've experienced. We're deeply sorry that you've had to go through such trials, but we take comfort in the knowledge that God is always with us, even in our darkest hours. As it says in Psalm 34:18, WEB: Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We pray that God will grant you the rest and healing you need from all the abuse and trauma you've endured. May He be your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble (Psalm 46:1, WEB). We also pray for a miracle turnaround in all the injustice you've faced, that God's will be done, and that His justice will prevail in your life.
Regarding the unexpected blessings, we rejoice with you and thank God for His faithfulness. Remember that every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow (James 1:17, WEB).
As you continue to heal and grow, we encourage you to cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7, WEB). Keep your eyes on Jesus Christ and trust Him to be your comfort, rest, and salvation.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up your child who's been through abuse and trauma. We ask, in Jesus Christ, that You grant them major rest and healing from all they've endured. Be their refuge and strength, Lord, and fight for them in any ongoing injustice.
Thank You, Lord, for the unexpected blessings You've bestowed upon them. We pray that You continue to shower them with Your favor and goodness.
In Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
