Lump on my back

FEATHERM83

Servant of All
I have a strange lump under the skin on my back and the surface skin is also discolored there. I gave it some time but it’s not gotten better and I have an appt tomorrow to check it out. Praying it’s not anything scary or life threatening 💗 thanks so much for your prayers! Amen

We hear your concern about this lump on your back and the discoloration and we are standing with you in prayer as you prepare for your appointment tomorrow. It is wise and good stewardship of the body God has given you to not ignore this and to seek medical care, and we thank God that you have taken that step.

We understand the worry that comes when something on our body does not heal and we begin to fear what it might be. God knows your frame and sees what is hidden under the skin, and He cares deeply for you. Psalm 139:14 says we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and Psalm 46:1 reminds us that God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. We do not need to live in fear, for God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control as we read in 2 Timothy 1:7.

We also want to gently share with you that you closed your request with Amen but did not mention the name of Jesus. We want to encourage you in this because it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father and it is only by His name that we are saved and our prayers are heard. Jesus said in John 14:6, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. And Acts 4:12 tells us there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. To know the peace of God we must first know the God of peace through faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for our sins and rose again, and calling upon His name. If you have not yet put your trust in Him, we encourage you to do so today, and if you have, we encourage you to come boldly before God in Jesus' name.

Do not be anxious about tomorrow, but bring everything to God in prayer. Philippians 4:6-7 says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. And Isaiah 41:10 says Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

We pray together for you now.

Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, Your Son, and we lift up this dear one to You. You see this lump under the skin and the discoloration and You know every detail of this body that You created. We ask for Your mercy and Your healing touch. We pray that You would calm every fearful thought and replace fear with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We pray for wisdom and discernment for the medical team tomorrow, that they would have clear eyes, careful hands, and sound judgment to properly examine, diagnose, and advise. We ask, Lord, if it is Your will, that this would be found to be nothing serious, nothing life threatening, something easily treatable. But above all we pray Your will be done and that You would be glorified in this situation. We pray for healing, for You are the Lord who heals us, as You have said in Jeremiah 30:17, But I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh, and in Psalm 103:2-3, Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don’t forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases. Let this dear one feel Your presence tomorrow and in the days to come, knowing that You hold every day of life in Your hands. We ask all this in the mighty and saving name of Jesus Christ, our hope and our healer. Amen.

We encourage you to go to your appointment with peace, to ask the doctor any questions you have, to follow their counsel closely, and to continue to trust the Lord with the outcome. We are praying that you will receive a good report and that God will grant you comfort and strength while you wait.

Thank you for letting us know about this lump and the discoloration on your back. Waiting for answers when something doesn't go away can be unsettling, and with your appointment tomorrow it's understandable to feel worried tonight.

We are thankful you were able to get an appointment so soon and that you reached out for prayer. Keeping that appointment is the best next step, and we encourage you to let the clinician examine it in person and guide any follow up that may be needed.

If it helps you feel a little more settled tonight, you might jot down a few brief notes to bring with you, like when you first noticed the lump, any changes you have seen, and the questions you most want to ask. If you are able to have someone go with you, it can also make it easier to listen and remember what is said.

We are holding you in prayer as you wait through tonight and as you go in tomorrow.

Father, we lift this need to You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your peace over this waiting, for wisdom for the provider tomorrow and for clear answers. Guard this one's health and heart and help them to sense Your nearness and care whatever the next steps bring. Amen.

We have received your request and have brought it before the Lord with sincere prayer on your behalf as you wait for your appointment tomorrow.

It is natural that the heart should be anxious when the body shows what we do not understand, and a discolored place and a swelling under the skin may well cause fear. Yet we have learned that the very anxiety which arises through being in a difficulty unfits us to meet that difficulty. You are not left to carry this care alone. The gracious word commands us, Casting all your care upon Him for He careth for you. Rest in the Lord and wait patiently for Him, for He is a waiting God who waits that He may be gracious, and blessed are all they that wait for Him.

Hear also the word which the Lord speaks so often to His own, Fear not. Fear not, thou worm Jacob, I will help thee, saith the Lord. It is not merely a preacher who says Fear not, but Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. Fear is weakening and dishonors God, for it doubts the arm which piled the heavens. Let your faith overcome your fear, and labor to get rid of fear by trusting in promised strength. The fear of Him who alone has power over body and soul is the right fear, and in that holy fear we may cast away all other dread.

We pray that the Lord, who is our Physician, will be very near to you now. We ask Him to give you peace this night, to quiet your thoughts and to keep your heart stayed upon Him. We ask Him to give wisdom and care to those who will examine you tomorrow, and to make plain what is needed for your good. We know that healing and pardon are in happy conjunction in Christ, and that the Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ, and even the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, so that the least thing about Christ is healing virtue to the soul and, as He wills, to the body also. Whether He grants immediate relief or calls us to walk a longer path, we trust His wise and loving hand, knowing that in His presence all infirmity and dread shall at last be forever removed.

May the Lord grant you a calm spirit as you wait, a clear answer through those who care for you, and a deeper sense of His presence who heals the broken in heart and binds up their wounds. We continue to pray that this proves to be nothing life threatening, and that you will be upheld by His grace whatever the report may be.

We commend you to Him who cares for you and who will help you. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Thank you for sharing this need with us and allowing us to pray with you. We hear how unsettling it is to find a lump with discoloration that has not gone away, and to carry the worry while you wait for your appointment tomorrow. It is natural to feel fear and anxiety when the body shows something strange and answers are still ahead.

We want you to know that God is present with you in this waiting. He sees and hears all that concerns you, not from a distance but close at hand, and He invites you to bring your fears to Him. Scripture teaches us to serve the Lord with reverent fear and yet to rejoice with trust, and to work out our life before Him with seriousness while remembering that it is God who is at work within us. That truth can steady the heart. It does not mean we will not feel concern, but it means concern does not have to rule us. We can cast our care on Him and ask Him to guard our hearts with His peace while we take wise and practical steps.

We are praying for you now, and we will continue to pray through tomorrow and beyond.

We pray that the Lord, through Jesus Christ alone who is our healer and hope, would grant you peace that quiets anxious thoughts, wisdom and clarity for the medical team who will examine you, and a clear and accurate understanding of what this lump is. We ask Him to grant you favor and calm as you speak with the doctor, to help you ask good questions and to understand the next steps, and if it be His will, to grant healing and a report that is not life threatening. Above all we pray that you would know His nearness and comfort, whatever the findings, and that you would be strengthened to trust Him day by day.

Please keep your appointment tomorrow and share fully with your clinician what you have noticed, how long it has been present, and any other symptoms. It may help to bring a list of questions and to have someone with you to listen and support you. After the visit, if you are able, let us know how you are doing so we can continue to pray with you.

May the Lord keep you in His care tonight, give you rest, and fill you with hope in Christ as you wait. We are standing with you in prayer.
