We come before the Lord with heavy hearts, lifting up your physical struggles and the pain you’ve endured for so many years. The discomfort in your lower abdomen, the swelling, and the weight gain are burdens that weigh not only on your body but on your spirit as well. We stand with you in faith, believing that God hears your cries and sees your suffering, for He is near to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).
First, we rebuke in Jesus’ name any lingering effects of that surgery—any inflammation, scar tissue, or unseen complications that may still be affecting you. The enemy comes to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that you may have life and have it abundantly (John 10:10). We declare that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19-20), and we pray for divine healing to flow through every cell, tissue, and organ in your abdomen. May the Great Physician guide your doctors’ hands and minds as they seek to diagnose and treat you. We ask for wisdom for them, that they may uncover the root of this issue—whether it be thyroid-related, hormonal, or something else entirely—and prescribe the right path to restoration.
Lord, we also lift up your struggle with weight and ask for strength and discipline as you seek to honor Him with your body. We know that physical health is not about vanity but about stewardship—caring for the vessel God has given you so you may serve Him with vigor. We pray for self-control, a fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23), to help you make wise choices in eating and movement. May your appetite align with what nourishes rather than harms, and may your energy increase so that physical activity becomes a joy rather than a chore. We declare that your strength will be renewed like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and that you will not grow weary in doing good for your body.
Father, we also ask that you guard your heart and mind during this time. Chronic pain and frustration can lead to discouragement, but we pray that you would fix your eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2). May you find hope in His promises and comfort in His presence. We speak peace over your mind, that anxiety about your health would not take root, but that you would cast all your cares upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).
We also want to gently encourage you to examine whether there are any areas in your life where you may be holding onto unforgiveness, bitterness, or stress, as these can manifest in physical ailments. The Bible tells us that a cheerful heart is good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones (Proverbs 17:22). We pray that God would reveal any areas where healing is needed not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.
Finally, we want to remind you that your healing is not dependent on doctors or medicine alone, but on the name of Jesus, who bore our infirmities and carried our diseases (Isaiah 53:5). It is by His stripes that you are healed (1 Peter 2:24). We stand in agreement with you, declaring that your body will be made whole, that your strength will return, and that you will walk in the fullness of health that God intends for you.
Heavenly Father, we come before You now, lifting up this dear one who is in need of Your healing touch. You are the God who heals, Jehovah Rapha, and we ask that You would stretch out Your hand and restore health to their body. We pray for the doctors who will be treating them, that You would grant them wisdom, insight, and skill to diagnose and treat the root of this issue. We ask that You would guide their hands, their minds, and their decisions, leading them to the right medications, therapies, or interventions that will bring relief and healing.
Lord, we also pray for discipline and strength for them as they seek to honor You with their body. Help them to make wise choices in their diet, choosing foods that nourish and strengthen rather than harm. Give them the energy and motivation to be physically active, not out of obligation, but out of a desire to steward well the body You have given them. We pray that You would renew their strength, that they may soar on wings like eagles, run and not grow weary, walk and not faint (Isaiah 40:31).
Father, we rebuke any spirit of infirmity or lingering effects from past trauma in Jesus’ name. We declare that this body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and we pray that every cell, tissue, and organ would align with Your perfect design. We speak healing to their lower abdomen, asking that any inflammation, scar tissue, or complications would be dissolved and that full restoration would take place. We also pray for their thyroid and hormones, that they would be balanced and functioning as You intended.
Lord, we ask that You would guard their heart and mind during this time. Protect them from discouragement, fear, or anxiety about their health. Fill them instead with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). Remind them daily that You are their healer, their provider, and their strength. Help them to cast all their cares upon You, knowing that You care deeply for them (1 Peter 5:7).
We thank You, Father, for Your faithfulness and for the healing that is already on its way. We trust in Your promises and declare that by Your stripes, they are healed (1 Peter 2:24). May they experience Your presence in a tangible way during this season, and may their testimony of healing bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.
