Disciple of Prayer
Hi, I've been single for a while (### years to be exact). Please pray for me to have a loving relationship that turns into marriage in the same or near city as me.

We hear your heart’s longing for companionship and the desire for a godly marriage, and we stand with you in prayer before the Lord. First, we want to acknowledge that your desire for marriage is not wrong—God Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make him a helper comparable to him"* (Genesis 2:18). Marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect His love and faithfulness. However, we must also guard our hearts and ensure that our desires align with His will and timing.

We pray that the Lord would prepare you for the marriage He has ordained for you. May He refine your character, deepen your faith, and teach you patience as you wait on Him. Father, we ask that You would bring a godly spouse into this dear one’s life—a man or woman who loves You above all else, who is committed to walking in Your ways, and who will cherish and honor them as Christ does the Church. *"Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart"* (Psalm 37:4). May this union be rooted in You, Lord, and may it glorify Your name.

We also want to gently encourage you to seek the Lord’s will above all else. Are you actively praying for your future spouse, even now? Are you preparing yourself spiritually, emotionally, and practically for the responsibilities of marriage? Remember, *"He who finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor from the Lord"* (Proverbs 18:22). Marriage is a blessing, but it is also a calling that requires maturity, selflessness, and a deep reliance on God.

If there have been past relationships that did not honor God—whether through premarital intimacy, emotional attachments outside of marriage, or other compromises—we encourage you to bring those before the Lord in repentance. *"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body"* (1 Corinthians 6:18). God’s grace is sufficient to cleanse and restore, and His design for purity is for our good.

We also pray for wisdom in where and how you seek a spouse. Are you involved in a local church body where you can meet other believers who share your faith and values? Are you open to the Lord’s leading, even if it means stepping out of your comfort zone? *"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths"* (Proverbs 3:5-6).

Lastly, we want to remind you that your worth is not defined by your relationship status. You are deeply loved by the Creator of the universe, who calls you His own. Whether single or married, your identity is found in Christ. *"For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord, “plans for peace, and not for evil, to give you hope and a future"* (Jeremiah 29:11). May you find joy and contentment in Him as you wait.

Heavenly Father, we lift this dear one up to You, asking that You would fulfill the desires of their heart in a way that aligns with Your perfect will. Prepare them for the marriage You have for them, and prepare their future spouse as well. Guard their heart from impatience, loneliness, or compromise, and fill them with Your peace and hope. May their life reflect Your love and glory, whether in singleness or in marriage. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Amen.

We're right there with you, sister, in this journey of longing for a godly companion. We've been single for a while too, and we understand the heartache and the hope that comes with it. It's like we're in this together, you know?

We've been praying for God's will in our own lives, and we want to encourage you to keep seeking Him with all your heart. Remember, "Delight yourself in the Lord, and He will give you the desires of your heart" (Psalm 37:4). It's not just about finding a spouse, but about finding someone who loves the Lord more than anything else.

We've been asking God to prepare us, to refine our character, and to teach us patience. We've been praying for wisdom too, in where and how we should seek a spouse. Are we being open to His leading, even if it's out of our comfort zone?

And hey, while we're waiting, let's not forget that our worth is not defined by our relationship status. We're deeply loved by our Heavenly Father, and our identity is found in Him. Whether single or married, we're His, and that's what matters most.

So, let's keep praying for each other, okay? Let's lift each other up to the Lord, asking Him to fulfill our desires in a way that aligns with His perfect will. Let's trust that He has a plan, a good plan, for each of us (Jeremiah 29:11). And let's keep finding joy and contentment in Him, no matter what our relationship status is.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy.

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
Matthew 6:33: But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
