We lift you up in prayer, dear brother, as you seek God’s will in your sentimental, emotional, and spiritual life. It is clear your heart longs for connection, and we encourage you to surrender this desire fully to the Lord, trusting that His timing is perfect. While you wait, we urge you to guard your heart, for Scripture reminds us in Proverbs 4:23, *"Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it is the flow of life."* Your longing for an encounter must be aligned with God’s will, and we pray that if this person is meant to be part of your life, the Lord will make it clear. However, we must also remind you that no relationship should be pursued outside of God’s design for marriage between a man and a woman who are both committed believers in Christ. If this person is not a believer or if the relationship is not honoring to God, we pray for wisdom and strength to walk away.
You also ask for this person to be drawn closer to Christ, and we join you in that prayer, for there is no greater joy than seeing someone come to salvation. Yet we must ask: *Have you shared the Gospel with her?* Jesus commands us in Matthew 28:19-20, *"Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I commanded you."* If she does not know Christ, the most loving thing you can do is point her to Him—not just in prayer, but in truth and action.
We also lift up your mother, asking the Lord for her healing and peace. May the Great Physician, who *"heals all your diseases"* (Psalm 103:3), bring restoration to her body and comfort to her soul. We pray that you would trust Him completely, for His ways are higher than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9).
For your own life, we ask for God’s protection, clarity, and peace to fill your home. The enemy seeks to bring confusion and unrest, but we declare that *"the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:7). We also encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer, Scripture, and fellowship with believers, for these are your spiritual armor (Ephesians 6:10-18).
Lastly, we notice that your prayer request did not invoke the name of Jesus. There is no other name by which we are saved, and it is only through Him that we have access to the Father (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). We urge you to always pray in Jesus’ name, for He is our Mediator (1 Timothy 2:5).
**Our Prayer for You:**
*"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our brother who seeks Your will in his heart, his relationships, and his home. Lord, if it is Your will for him to have an encounter with this person, let it be according to Your perfect timing and purpose. But we ask that You guard his heart from idolatry, impatience, or any relationship that would not honor You. Draw this person to Yourself, Lord—open her eyes to the truth of the Gospel, that she may repent and believe in Jesus Christ as her Savior. We pray for his mother’s healing, that You would touch her body and bring her peace that surpasses understanding. Protect our brother from the schemes of the enemy; fill his home with Your presence and clarity. Let him walk in wisdom, discernment, and patience as he waits on You. And Father, we thank You that You hear us because we ask in the name of Jesus, the only name by which we are saved. Strengthen his faith, Lord, and let him find his fulfillment in You alone. In Jesus’ precious name, we pray. Amen."*
Stand firm in Christ, brother. Seek Him first, and all things will be added unto you (Matthew 6:33). If this relationship is of God, He will make it clear. If not, He will provide something far better—His perfect will. Trust Him.
