Midnight Prayer

Disciple of Prayer
My friend has been very lonely for a long time now, raising kids by himself. He once told me that all he ever wanted was to be loved. So, for Valentine's Day, I decided to surprise him with a homemade gift of genuine unconditional love. Please assist me in prayer with blessing the gift and him. I will send it off next week, so I'm gonna put as many blessings on it as I can. I pray that he will feel and receive the love of God through this gift and our friendship. God let him know how loved, cherished, valued, heard, seen, understood, appreciated, respected, accepted, wonderful, beautiful, precious, special, blessed, thoughtful of, cared for with everlasting love that flows through his entire body. In Jesus' name I ask and believe. God thank you for showing him your love through me.

We hear your heart, dear sister in Christ, and we join you in lifting up your friend and this precious gift of love you are preparing for him. Your desire to reflect God’s love is beautiful, and we stand with you in prayer, believing that the Lord will use this act of kindness to draw your friend closer to Him.

First, we must acknowledge that true love—genuine, unconditional love—flows from God Himself. The Bible tells us, *"We love because he first loved us"* (1 John 4:19 WEB). It is only through Christ that we can love others in a way that truly satisfies the soul. Your friend’s longing to be loved is a deep cry of the heart, and we pray that this gift will be a tangible reminder of God’s unfailing love for him.

We also lift up his role as a single father, raising his children alone. The weight of loneliness and responsibility can be heavy, and we ask the Lord to strengthen him daily. *"The Lord is near to the brokenhearted, and saves those who are crushed in spirit"* (Psalm 34:18 WEB). May he find comfort in God’s presence and wisdom in parenting his children according to His Word.

As you prepare this gift, we pray over it now, that it would carry the fragrance of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:15) and minister to his heart in ways beyond what words can express. May he feel seen, valued, and cherished—not just by you, but by the Father who knit him together in his mother’s womb (Psalm 139:13-14). May this gift be a vessel of God’s peace, joy, and assurance that he is never alone.

However, we must also gently address the nature of your friendship with this man. While your intentions are pure, we encourage you to guard your heart and his, ensuring that your relationship remains honoring to God. If he is not your husband, we must be cautious about emotional entanglements that could lead to confusion or temptation. *"Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers"* (2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB) applies not only to marriage but to close bonds that could blur godly boundaries. If he is a believer, we pray that any friendship between you would be marked by accountability, purity, and a shared pursuit of Christ.

We also lift up his spiritual condition. Does he know Jesus as his Savior? If not, we pray that this gift would open his heart to the greatest love of all—the love of Christ, who laid down His life for us (John 15:13). If he does know the Lord, we ask that this gesture would deepen his faith and remind him of God’s faithfulness.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with grateful hearts, thanking You for the love You have poured into this sister’s heart for her friend. Lord, we ask that You bless this gift she is preparing. Let it be a conduit of Your love, peace, and truth. Minister to his heart, Father, and remind him that he is deeply loved by You. Break the chains of loneliness and fill him with Your presence.

We pray for his children, that they would grow up knowing Your love and the security of a father who leans on You. Give him wisdom, strength, and joy in parenting, and surround him with godly community.

Lord, we ask that You would guard their friendship, keeping it pure and honoring to You. If it is Your will for them to pursue marriage, prepare their hearts and guide their steps. If not, help them to love one another as siblings in Christ, without entanglement.

Above all, we pray that Your love would be made known to him in a powerful way. If he does not yet know You, draw him to Yourself. If he does, deepen his faith and renew his spirit. May this gift be a reminder that You see him, You care for him, and You will never leave him.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, sharing your heart's desire to bless your friend with a gift of love this Valentine's Day. It's beautiful to see you reflecting God's love in this way. We join you in prayer, believing that God will use this act of kindness to touch your friend's heart and draw him closer to Him.

As you prepare this gift, let's ask God to bless it. May it carry the fragrance of Christ (2 Corinthians 2:15), ministering to his heart in ways that words alone cannot express. We pray that he would feel seen, valued, and cherished - not just by you, but by the Father who lovingly created him (Psalm 139:13-14). May this gift be a vessel of God's peace, joy, and assurance, reminding him that he is never alone.

We also lift up your friend's role as a single father, raising his children alone. The weight of responsibility can be heavy, so we ask the Lord to strengthen him daily. May he find comfort in God's presence and wisdom in parenting according to His Word (Psalm 34:18).

Let's remember, too, that true love flows from God Himself (1 John 4:19). Your friend's longing to be loved is a deep cry of the heart, and we pray that this gift will be a tangible reminder of God's unfailing love for him.

However, we must also be mindful of the nature of your friendship. While your intentions are pure, it's important to guard both of your hearts and ensure that your relationship remains honoring to God. If he's not your husband, we should be cautious about emotional entanglements that could lead to confusion or temptation (2 Corinthians 6:14). If he's a believer, may any friendship between you be marked by accountability, purity, and a shared pursuit of Christ.

Lastly, we pray for your friend's spiritual condition. Does he know Jesus as his Savior? If not, we pray that this gift would open his heart to the greatest love of all - the love of Christ (John 15:13). If he does know the Lord, we ask that this gesture would deepen his faith and remind him of God's faithfulness.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father, we thank You for the love You've poured into this sister's heart for her friend. Bless this gift she's preparing, Lord.

Guard their friendship, Lord, keeping it pure and honoring to You. If it's Your will for them to pursue marriage, prepare their hearts and guide their steps. If not, help them to love one another as siblings in Christ, without entanglement.

Above all, we pray that Your love would be made known to him in a powerful way. If he doesn't yet know You, draw him to Yourself. If he does, deepen his faith and renew his spirit. May this gift be a reminder that You see him, You care for him, and You will never leave him.

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above all names, the only name by which we are saved. Amen.
