❤️‍🔥 Love Increases in Knowledge, Discernment & Blameless Sincerity Until the Day of Christ, Fullness of Fruit, for God's Glory, Phil 1:9-10

Beloved of All
🙏 "I pray that your love may abound still more and more in real knowledge and all discernment, so that you may approve the things that are excellent, in order to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ; having been filled with the fruit of righteousness which comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God," in Jesus' Name (Phil 1:9-11).

We lift this beautiful prayer from Philippians 1:9-11 before the throne of grace, asking the Lord to make it a living reality in our lives and in the lives of all who seek Him. Father, we come before You, recognizing that it is only through the name of Your Son, Jesus Christ, that we have access to You. There is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We thank You for the gift of salvation through faith in Jesus, who died for our sins and rose again, that we might have eternal life (John 3:16).

Lord, we pray that our love would indeed abound more and more in real knowledge and all discernment. Teach us to love not just with words or emotions, but with wisdom and understanding, so that we may approve the things that are excellent. Help us to walk in a manner worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1), discerning what is pleasing to You in every situation. May our love be rooted in truth, not swayed by the deceptions of this world, but anchored in Your Word.

We ask that You would make us sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. Purify our hearts, Lord, and search us, knowing our thoughts and anxieties (Psalm 139:23). Where there is sin, whether in our relationships, our thoughts, or our actions, convict us by Your Holy Spirit. If we are engaged in relationships that do not honor You, such as those involving fornication, adultery, or same-sex unions, we ask for Your forgiveness and strength to turn away from these sins. Your Word is clear: marriage is a sacred covenant between one man and one woman, a reflection of Christ and the Church (Ephesians 5:31-32). Any sexual intimacy outside of this God-ordained union is sin, and we must flee from it (1 Corinthians 6:18). If we are courting someone, let it be with the intention of marriage to a fellow believer, as You command us not to be unequally yoked (2 Corinthians 6:14). Guide us in holiness, that we may present ourselves as vessels for honorable use, set apart and useful to You (2 Timothy 2:21).

Fill us with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus Christ, to the glory and praise of God. May our lives bear the fruit of the Spirit, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control (Galatians 5:22-23). Let every thought, word, and deed be done for Your glory, that others may see our good works and give praise to our Father in heaven (Matthew 5:16).

Lord, we also pray for those who may be struggling with doubt, fear, or uncertainty in their walk with You. Strengthen their faith, reminding them that You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in them (Philippians 1:6). For those who have not yet surrendered their lives to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation. Open their hearts to receive the truth of the Gospel, that Christ died for their sins, was buried, and rose again on the third day (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). May they confess with their mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in their hearts that God raised Him from the dead, so that they may be saved (Romans 10:9).

We rebuke every lie of the enemy that seeks to distort Your truth, Lord. We stand against the deception that love can be separated from Your commands, or that holiness is optional. Your Word tells us that without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14). We reject the world’s definition of love, which often exalts selfish desires above Your perfect will. Instead, we choose to love as You have loved us, sacrificially, purely, and in truth (1 John 3:16).

Father, we thank You for the promise that as we abide in You, we will bear much fruit (John 15:5). Let this fruit be evident in our lives, not for our own glory, but for Yours. May our love, knowledge, and discernment grow deeper each day, that we may walk blamelessly until the day of Christ. Fill us with Your Spirit, that we may live in a way that brings You honor and draws others to You.

In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Thank you for sharing this prayer with us. What a beautiful way to anchor your heart in God's purposes, it's a prayer that is clearly aligned with His will, so we can be confident He is already at work answering it in you. We've learned over time that love, knowledge, and discernment grow in us more like a tree putting down deep roots season by season rather than a dramatic overnight change. That gradual, almost imperceptible process can sometimes feel frustrating, but it's the very way God shapes us into the sincere and fruitful people we long to become.

In the ordinary rhythm of your days, through time in His Word, prayer, and the small choices to love well, His Spirit is cultivating exactly what this passage describes. Perhaps this week, as you keep this prayer close, you might quietly ask the Lord to show you one specific relationship or decision where He wants to deepen your love and practical discernment. Noticing even a small step can steady our hearts when the larger picture feels distant or uncertain.

Father, we thank You that You promise to complete the good work You've begun in us. We ask that You would fill this dear friend with an ever-increasing love that overflows with real knowledge and keen insight. Grant them the wisdom to approve the things that are excellent, and make them increasingly sincere and spotless as they await Christ's return. Fill them with the fruit of righteousness that comes through Jesus, so that their whole life brings You glory and praise. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer breathes the very heart of the Apostle, reaching toward that high calling which bursts from the soil of sovereign grace. You long for a love that abounds yet more and more, not a shallow sentiment that ebbs with the tide of feeling, but a love fortified by real knowledge and all discernment. This is no common desire; it is the spark of the eternal flame that the Lord Himself kindles in the renewed heart, a love born of His own, a reflex of the love wherewith He first loved us. See to it that this spark is never quenched, but fanned into a vehement heat by nearness to the Sun of Righteousness.

Real knowledge and discernment are the twin guards set upon the gate of love, lest it degenerate into a fond, blind impulse. There is an incomparable knowledge, the knowledge of the Christ, which dives deep into the mine of God's eternal purpose and soars high into the heaven of His everlasting love. This is no mere intellectual hoard, but a treasure that transforms the soul. Yet, mark well: the test of sincerity is that knowledge walks hand in hand with practice. You have no good proof that you are a child of God because you have the wings of knowledge unless you have also the hands of practice. The fungus forced by artificial heat differs greatly from the rosy fruit of a healthy tree; the unreal devotions of the unspiritual differ widely from the deep inward groanings of renewed hearts. Do not be content with runaway knocks at the door of heaven, the touchstone of godly sincerity is a life that habitually calls upon God and desires to know the very worst of its case, whatever it may be.

You pray that you may approve the things that are excellent, to be sincere and blameless until the day of Christ. This is a weighty petition. Sincerity loves the light, and Christ is that Light. As the Sun of Righteousness goes forth, He quickens the vital sap of grace, ripens the fruits of holiness, and reveals every hidden blemish. Walk in the light of His countenance, and you will grow sweetly ripe, bearing fruit dyed in the hue of enjoyment, even the beauty of realized sanctification. It is the warmth of His love, shed abroad in the heart by the Holy Spirit, that perfects the flavor of all our graces. Do not be afraid of too much of this blessed warmth, dread not the excitements that come from fellowship with Christ! Drink, yes, drink abundantly, O beloved! The Master says of the wine of His love, "Drink abundantly," for it can never intoxicate to harm, but only to health and joy.

The fullness of fruit you crave is no natural produce of your own soil. The fruit of righteousness comes through Jesus Christ alone. Grace abounding is the root, and the fruit is all to the glory and praise of God. When the Law entered, offense abounded, but grace did much more abound, and in this vintage we see the heart of God laid bare. His love to us is not drawn out by any goodness in us; it springs from His own gracious, infinite heart. Therefore, the fruit we yield is the reward of His own labor, and He is glorified in the cluster. Covetousness, envy, the cold heart shut up against a brother's need, these must be laid aside if we are to approve the things that are excellent. True love increases in knowledge, sees the need, and opens wide the hand of compassion.

Go on, then, with this prayer upon your lips and in your life. Be much in meditation, contemplation, and reverent simplicity, taking in the whole truth concerning His Person and love. Let nothing lie by at the banquet of love, eat and drink all the stores. The more you know of His love that passes knowledge, the more your own love will abound, the more your discernment will sharpen, and the more your sincerity will be made manifest. Until the day of Christ, you will be filled with that fruit which is to the praise of His glory, and when the Chief Gardener comes, He shall find His reward in the ripe fruit of your soul.

You have prayed a prayer that reaches to the very heart of the Apostle’s desire. For he does not extol a love that is blind, but one that abounds “in knowledge and all discernment.” Love without judgment is not love at all; it is a lack of feeling that often does great harm. There are those who in the name of friendship receive spurious doctrines and are dragged down. But the love that pleases God approves the things that are excellent, distinguishing the profitable from the harmful. This is what it means to be sincere before God and without offense before men, so that on the day of Christ you may be found pure, having caused no one to stumble.

And consider well what is the root of this fruit of righteousness. It does not spring from your own labors, as if you could keep every command. No, that way has always fallen short. The righteousness that fills you comes through Jesus Christ alone. You are not your own; you were bought with a price, the very Body of the Lord. Once you brought forth fruit unto death, but now you are called to bring forth fruit unto God. That fruit grows from a soul sincerely disposed toward Him, judging nothing more reliable than His words. Faith works righteousness, even when the world laughs and reviles. So let your love have no measure, yet always guided by knowledge, that you may stand blameless and abound in good works, to the glory and praise of God.

The prayer of your heart echoes the very longing of the Father for His children: that love would truly abound, not as a shallow sentiment but in ever-deepening knowledge and spiritual discernment. It is good and wise to ask for this, because genuine love that pleases God is not something we drum up by willpower. It is the fruit of the Spirit, and the Spirit alone can produce it as we abide in Christ.

Notice how the Scriptures set love in direct contrast to works. The flesh produces an endless list of self-centered deeds, but the Spirit yields a singular fruit, love. God is not looking for the brittle righteousness of human effort, which so easily becomes a checklist. He is looking for the living, fragrant love that flows naturally from a life joined to Jesus. That is what Paul prayed for the Philippians: that their love would be informed, not blind; discerning, not gullible. Such love learns to approve the things that are excellent because it is rooted in the truth of who Christ is.

This love is the real evidence that the Spirit of God dwells within you. Not a dramatic gift or an emotional experience, but a steady, self-giving love for God and His people. It is divine, the kind that is not provoked by circumstances and does not fail when feelings fade. And this love is what enables you to walk in sincerity and blamelessness until the day of Christ. Sincerity here means something unfeigned, transparent, with no hidden agendas. Blamelessness does not mean flawlessness in practice but a life so soaked in the love of Christ that no accusation can stick, because love covers a multitude of sins and the blood of Jesus cleanses from all unrighteousness.

When you pray for love to increase, you are praying for the very life of Jesus to be manifest in you. He loved you not because you were lovely, but because He is love. He sees you now through eyes that have already forgiven every failure, and His love for you is complete. As you rest in that reality, the fruit will come, not always in great dramatic quantities, but in quality that remains. The law could only command and condemn, but love constrains you with cords far stronger. Now your life brings forth fruit unto righteousness, not as a grim obligation but as a joyful response to the One who calls you His beloved.

So let this be your confidence: the Father who began this good work in you will bring it to completion. He will fill you with the fruit of righteousness that comes only through Jesus Christ. The fruit you bear, this love that abounds more and more, will be to the praise of His glory. Keep your eyes on Christ, for in His love your own love is made perfect.
