Lost sleep lost hope Can’t cope

Beloved of All
Good morning Family, it’s after 4am on Oct 1 in my location. I thank you Lord for another day. Last night I didn’t sleep well at all worrying about back rent bill payments and my future. I ask in Jesus name for prayers. I’m not sitting back and waiting for things to happen but I sure am exhausted. My efforts to solve these issues have not yielded results. I make connections, look for ways to generate honest income, seek creative ideas, reach out to agencies. Uploaded resumes contacted the landlord. Receive some govt assistance but honestly it’s not enough. I fear losing my housing and belongings. It’s very scary. Escaping abuse has cost me financially, emotionally and physically. I’m seeking out trusted leaders and others but I can’t find anyone who is trustworthy. It makes me feel hopeless Maybe if I stayed in the abuse I wouldn’t have these financial setbacks/challenges. I’m so confused, lost and hurt.

We hear the deep weariness in your voice, dear sibling in Christ, and we stand with you in this season of overwhelming struggle. You have done well to cry out to the Lord and to seek the prayers of His people, for He is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. It is by His name alone—Jesus Christ—that we approach the throne of grace with confidence, and we are grateful you have invoked His holy name in your plea. Let us first lift your burdens before Him together, for He cares for you more deeply than you can imagine.

The sleepless nights and crushing weight of financial fear are not unknown to our Father. He sees your diligence—how you have reached out for work, sought assistance, and refused to surrender to despair. Yet even in your exhaustion, He whispers, *"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest"* (Matthew 11:28, WEB). Your efforts are not in vain, though the results tarry. The Lord is your provider, *Jehovah-Jireh*, and He who feeds the birds of the air and clothes the lilies of the field will not abandon you (Matthew 6:26-33). We rebuked the spirit of fear and hopelessness that seeks to wrap its chains around your heart, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). The enemy would have you believe that escape from abuse has only brought ruin, but this is a lie. The Lord led you out of bondage just as He delivered Israel from Egypt—not into a wilderness of despair, but toward a land flowing with milk and honey. The journey may be hard, but His promises are sure.

As for the temptation to believe that remaining in abuse would have spared you these trials, we must firmly reject this thought. Scripture is clear: *"It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in man"* (Psalm 118:8, WEB). Abuse is not the will of God for His children. You were made for dignity, safety, and love. The financial cost of fleeing is great, but the cost of staying would have been far greater—your soul, your faith, and perhaps even your life. The Lord sees the sacrifices you’ve made to walk in obedience, and He will restore what the locusts have eaten (Joel 2:25). Trust that His timing is perfect, even when the path is unclear.

Now, let us pray for you with fervor and faith:

*"Heavenly Father, we lift our sister before You, knowing that You are the God who sees her tears, hears her cries, and collects every sorrow in Your bottle (Psalm 56:8). Lord, she is weary—bone-tired from fighting, from running, from striving. We ask You to be her sleep when rest evades her, her peace when anxiety rages, and her hope when despair knocks at the door. You, O Lord, are her shield and her exceeding great reward (Genesis 15:1). We pray for supernatural provision—open doors for honest work, favor with potential employers, and creative solutions she has not yet imagined. Provide for her back rent and bills in ways that surpass her understanding, that all may see Your hand at work. Lord, surround her with trustworthy believers who can offer godly counsel, practical help, and Christ-centered community. Break the isolation the enemy has sought to impose upon her.

Father, we bind the spirit of fear that whispers she made a mistake in leaving abuse. Replace it with the truth of Your Word: that You are her Deliverer, and no weapon formed against her will prosper (Isaiah 54:17). Heal the wounds of betrayal and the scars of hurt. Restore her faith in Your goodness, even when the road is hard. Remind her that You are working all things together for her good (Romans 8:28), and that her current struggle is not her final story.

We pray for divine connections—godly mentors, church leaders, or ministries that can walk alongside her with integrity and wisdom. Give her discernment to recognize Your voice above the noise of the world. And Lord, in the quiet moments when hope feels distant, let her hear You say, *'I will never leave you nor forsake you'* (Hebrews 13:5). Renew her strength like the eagle’s (Isaiah 40:31), and let her testify soon of Your faithfulness.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Provider and Protector, we pray. Amen."*

Sibling, we urge you to cling to the Lord in this storm. Read His Word daily, even if it’s just a verse or two, to anchor your heart in truth. Psalm 34:18 reminds us that *"Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."* You are not forgotten. Keep reaching out to local churches or Christian organizations that may offer support—sometimes help comes through the hands of His people. And if the weight feels too heavy, cry out to Him again and again. He is listening.

Lastly, we gently ask: Are you connected to a Bible-believing church where you can find community and accountability? If not, we encourage you to seek one out. You were not meant to walk this path alone. And if the Enemy tries to tell you that your faith is too small or your prayers too weak, remember: *"If we are faithless, he remains faithful; for he can’t deny himself"* (2 Timothy 2:13, WEB). Your worth is not in your circumstances, but in Christ alone.

Stand firm, dear one. The night is dark, but the morning is coming. *"Weeping may stay for the night, but joy comes in the morning"* (Psalm 30:5, WEB). We are standing with you in faith.

We're here with you, dear friend, in your sleepless nights and financial worries. It's like you're in a storm, and we're right here, holding onto you, reminding you that you're not alone. We've been where you are, or we know someone who has. It's hard, we know. But remember, even in the darkest night, there's a dawn coming.

We're going to pray for you, just like we would for our own sister. We're asking God to give you rest, to wrap you in His peace, to provide for your needs in ways that will leave you amazed. We're asking Him to send you trustworthy people who can support you, encourage you, and walk alongside you. We're asking Him to heal your heart, to help you trust again, to believe that He sees you, He hears you, and He's working all things together for your good.

And while we're praying, we want you to know that we're here for you too. We're not just saying words, we're here to listen, to encourage, to support. We're here to remind you that your worth is not in your circumstances, but in Christ alone. So, hold on, dear one. The night is dark, but joy comes in the morning. We're standing with you in faith.

Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
