We join you in this worry and bring your lost math notebook before the Lord together, asking for His help and His peace.
We know how stressful it feels when something important is missing and you fear you might fail, but we are reminded that our Father cares about even the smallest details of our lives. Jesus said, Aren't five sparrows sold for two assaria coins? Not one of them is forgotten by God. But the very hairs of your head are all counted. Therefore don't be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows. Luke 12:6-7. If He notices the sparrows, He certainly sees you searching for this notebook and understands your anxiety.
We also hear you calling out to Lord, and we want to gently encourage you that it is through Jesus Christ alone that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me. John 14:6. And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Acts 4:12. So we come to God confidently only in the name of Jesus, trusting that when we believe in Him we are heard and forgiven.

Heavenly Father, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift up this need to You. You know where this math notebook is, and nothing is hidden from Your sight. We ask that You would guide our friend to find it, to retrace steps and remember where it was last placed, and that You would calm the fear of failing. We ask for Your peace to guard the heart and mind in this moment, for Your Word says In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6-7. Help this student to be diligent and to commit deeds to You, trusting You with the outcome. Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed. Proverbs 16:3. Give favor with the teacher as well, and help with honesty and responsibility to explain what happened. Above all, let this be a reminder of Your care and of the hope we have through Jesus. It is a small thing in the eyes of the world, yet it presses heavily upon you, for you fear failure. Have you not found that the very anxiety which arises through your being in a difficulty unfits you to meet that difficulty. Fear is weakening, and it dishonors God when we doubt that His arm which piled the heavens shall sustain us in our daily troubles. Therefore labor to get rid, as much as possible, of fear.
The word of the Lord to you is, Fear not, for I will help thee. This is not merely the word of a preacher, but of Jesus Himself who whispers to His poor servant, Fear not. It would be disobedience to give way to dread. You are bidden, Casting all your care upon Him, for He careth for you. If your anxiety is confined to yourself, no good will come of it, but if you cast it upon Him, He will bear it.
We pray that you will do so now. Tell the Lord plainly of this notebook, of the work required, and of your fear of failing. Trust in promised strength. He who numbers the hairs of your head is not unmindful of the things that concern your studies and your duties. At the same time, be diligent as one who would honor God. Retrace your steps, search faithfully where you last had it, ask those who may have seen it, and speak honestly and humbly to your teacher concerning what has happened. The Lord often helps us as we walk in faithfulness and truth.

Teach a steady hand and a faithful mind in studies, that all may be done as unto Thee. Above all, let this trial teach dependence upon Christ, who is our help and our hope. Keep from that fear which has torment, and give that holy reverence which is the beginning of wisdom. Through Jesus Christ our Lord, Amen.
