I cannot switch programs nor watch program that i missed.
One person that helped me to do something brought a confusion into my home.

First, we want to acknowledge that while this may seem like a small matter, God cares about every detail of our lives. In Matthew 10:29-31, Jesus reminds us, "Aren’t two sparrows sold for an assarion coin? Not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father’s will. But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Therefore don’t be afraid. You are of more value than many sparrows." If God cares about the sparrows, how much more does He care about you and your needs?

We also want to gently address the mention of confusion being brought into your home. The Bible warns us about the influence of others and how it can disrupt our peace. In 1 Corinthians 14:33, it says, "For God is not a God of confusion, but of peace." If someone has brought confusion or discord into your home, we encourage you to prayerfully consider their influence and seek God’s wisdom in how to address it. You may need to set boundaries or even distance yourself from those who do not bring peace into your life.

Now, let’s pray together for the recovery of your remote control and for God’s peace to fill your home:

Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Lord, we ask that You would guide ### in finding their lost remote control. You know exactly where it is, and we ask that You would reveal it to them quickly and effortlessly. Father, we also pray for peace to fill their home. Remove any confusion or discord that has been brought in, and replace it with Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding.

Lord, we know that You are a God of order, not chaos. We ask that You would help ### to trust in You, even in the small things. Remind them that You are always with them, even when they feel alone. Provide them with comfort and joy, not just through their television, but through Your presence and the knowledge that You are their ultimate source of peace and fulfillment.

Father, we also ask that You would surround ### with godly fellowship and community. Help them to find companionship with other believers who can uplift and encourage them. May they never feel truly alone because You are always with them.

In Jesus’ mighty name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, we encourage you to take a moment to search your home methodically. Sometimes, items are in plain sight but overlooked. Ask the Holy Spirit to guide your eyes and mind as you look. Additionally, consider if there might be a deeper lesson here, perhaps God is using this situation to draw your attention to something greater, like the need for peace in your home or the importance of surrounding yourself with people who honor Him.

If you haven’t already, we also want to gently remind you of the importance of calling on the name of Jesus in all things. It is only through Him that we have access to God the Father. Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet placed your trust in Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, we encourage you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in Him, and invite Him into your heart. He is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him (John 14:6).

You are not alone, even when it feels that way. God sees you, He loves you, and He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Keep trusting in Him.

Sometimes the most practical next move is to pause and gently retrace your steps: where you were when the confusion happened, any place that person might have set something down. Even if you’ve already looked, sometimes a quiet moment of calming your mind helps you see what’s right in front of you. You might also consider, if it’s safe and the relationship allows, simply asking that person if they remember seeing it. No need for a confrontation, just a straightforward question.

We’re praying not only that you'll find the remote quickly and effortlessly, but also that God will bring a sense of order and peace back to your home and your thoughts. He sees the loneliness you mentioned too, and He cares about that as much as about your lost item.

Lord Jesus, you know exactly where this remote is. Bring it to light today so this dear one can enjoy the simple comfort of watching a favorite program. Settle the confusion that entered the home, and let your peace replace it. Wrap them in your presence tonight so that loneliness does not have the final word. We ask this in your name, Jesus. Your cry over this small yet vexing loss has reached the ears of One who counts the stars and calls them by name. It is no trifle to Him when His children are troubled, for even the hairs of your head are all numbered. He who came to seek and to save that which was lost in the terrible ruin of sin will surely stoop to help you find a perishing trifle, if it be for your good and His glory.

You are alone, and this missing device has robbed you of a simple comfort. But consider Him who was left alone, alone in the hour of His greatest anguish, when all forsook Him and fled. He knows the pang of solitude, the ache of a friendless hour, and He bids you cast this care, small as it may seem, upon Him. The confusion brought by another into your home is but a light thing with Him who stilled the raging sea; a word from Him can bring order out of chaos and restore what has slipped from sight.

If the Lord does not help you, from what threshing floor or winepress could any aid arise? Do not fret; instead, ask in simple faith, believing that He hears. Often a lost thing is found even while we are on our knees, quietly, easily, as if an unseen hand had placed it before our eyes. May this little trial lift your heart to the great Shepherd who seeks lost souls, and may you find not only your remote control but a nearer fellowship with Him who is the Joy of the desolate and the Friend who sticks closer than a brother. He will not mock your request. Trust and be still.

What turmoil from so small a thing! A remote control has slipped from your hand, and now your home is in confusion and your heart cries out. You feel alone, and you say this little device is your only comfort. But I ask you: if you search with such determination for a piece of plastic, how much more should you seek the God who formed you? Is it not strange that we will leave no corner unturned for a lost coin or a stray sheep, yet we neglect the soul that is drifting?

You mention someone brought disorder into your house. See how quickly chaos creeps in when a single thing is out of place. Anarchy is an evil; remove the leader from a chorus and there is only noise. Your remote was a kind of ruler over your leisure, and now that it is gone, you are unsettled. Learn from this. Train your heart to be still even when outward comforts vanish. Seek times of quiet, away from the clamor of screens and programs, for in solitude God speaks.

But do not imagine I am harsh. I know human weakness, and I do not forbid you to look for what is lost. Yet do so without anxiety, as one who trusts in Providence. If you find it, give thanks, but let not your joy depend on it. For if Christ is your true treasure, no missing object can rob you of peace. And if it remains hidden, be not troubled; these trifles pass, but the word of the Lord stands forever. Occupy your aloneness with prayer and good works, and you will discover a delight that no remote can offer and no confusion can destroy.

The ache of a lost thing, even something as simple as a remote control, can feel so much larger when it’s tied to your peace. That small device represents a moment of rest and a little comfort in your day, and when confusion enters your home and disrupts that, it’s a real trial. Our Lord sees these seemingly small frustrations. He knows that when something is lost, it has no value while it’s missing. A coin cannot be used as currency, and a shepherd’s sheep is helpless to find its own way home. The lost must be found to serve its purpose and bring joy again.

The confusion you mentioned is something Scripture speaks to directly. Confusion reigns when there is no final authority, when everyone simply does what is right in their own eyes. You’ve felt that unsettling confusion enter your space, and your prayer is a cry for order and clarity. That’s a good and right thing to bring before God. Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. He is the King whose authority can cut through any confusion and bring order to our disordered moments.

But even as you ask to find this item, know that He is the God of all comfort. He is the one who stands by you in the dark hours and the frustrating moments, not to condemn, but to take you by the hand and lift you up. When you are alone and feel that this is your only fun, understand that you do not initiate the relationship with Him; He has already drawn near to you. He sees the loneliness and the need, and He ministers to us in those very hours. The joy in heaven over one sheep or one coin being found is immense, not because the object itself is so valuable, but because of the searching heart that finds it.

Father, thank You for Your patience and for caring about every detail of our lives, even the small comforts. We ask for a clear and effortless end to the confusion in this home, that what is lost would be quickly found and restored. Quiet the restlessness of doing things in our own strength, and let Your presence be the guide and authority that dispels all confusion. Lift the discouragement and let this simple request become a moment of experiencing Your nearness and comfort. In Jesus’ name.
