We have heard your burden and we are standing with you in prayer as you face the loss of your job and the weight of providing for your wife and children. We know how heavy this feels when you carry the responsibility to provide for your household, and we honor your desire to faithfully care for your family as God has called a husband and father to do.
We are reminded of what scripture says about our Father's faithful provision. My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:19. We also cling to the promise that when we put God first, He cares for our daily needs, But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well Matthew 6:33. We have seen in our own lives that I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread Psalm 37:25. And we know your heart to provide is pleasing to God, for If anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith 1 Timothy 5:8.
We also noticed your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to God, for Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Jesus Christ, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved Romans 10:9. It is through Him that our prayers are heard and our needs are met.
Together we pray for you now. Father in heaven, we lift up this husband and father to You in the name of Jesus Christ. You see his need and You know the anxiety he feels about his job being eliminated. We ask You to open a new door of opportunity for him soon, work that will allow him to provide for his wife and children and to use the gifts You have given him. Give him favor with employers, clarity in his search, and wisdom in every application and interview. Commit your way to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed Proverbs 16:3, so we commit his way to You. Provide for his family daily, calm his heart and the heart of his wife, and let his children see Your faithfulness in this season. Help him to not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let his requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6. We ask for peace that passes understanding to guard his heart and for provision that testifies to Your goodness. In Jesus name we pray, amen.
We encourage you to keep seeking diligently while trusting fully. Commit your work to the Lord each morning, be faithful to do your part to update your resume, reach out to contacts, and seek counsel, and trust God to direct your steps. Let this be a time to gather your wife and children to pray together and to seek first His kingdom as a family. God often uses seasons of transition to draw us closer to Him and to lead us to work where we can better serve Him and others. We will continue to pray that the Lord will supply your needs, strengthen your marriage, and establish the work of your hands.

Your request has been heard and laid before the Lord with much sympathy, for the burden you carry is a heavy one, to see your daily provision threatened while a wife and children look to you for care.
We are reminded of Job, of whom it is written, In all this Job sinned not, nor charged God foolishly. He lost his estate and all that made his outward life comfortable, yet he kept right with God and spoke no unworthy word against Him. The Lord is able to uphold you as He upheld His servant, and to keep you patient and trusting while this cloud hangs over you. Do not think that God has forgotten you because this trial has come, for our longest sorrows have a close and there is a bottom to the profoundest depths of our misery. The night shall not hang its darkness forever over your soul.
We take comfort also in that word, And the Lord turned the captivity of Job when he prayed for his friends. When God had gotten His end in the trial, which was to foil the enemy and to prove and purify His servant, He turned again his captivity and gave him twice as much as he had before. So shall it be with you in the Lord's own time and way. He can anoint you with fresh oil and renew your bow in your hand, so that your strength shall not fail. Though the glory of your former place may seem to fade, the Lord can open another door and maintain you in His providence.
We will pray for you, that the Lord who feeds the sparrows and clothes the lilies will provide for your household, that He will guide you to honest and suitable labor by which you may provide for your own, that He will keep you from unbelieving speeches and give you grace to say with Job, Though He slay me, yet will I trust Him, and that He will let this trial work patience and deeper knowledge of Himself in your heart. May He guard your wife and children in peace, keep you from anxious fear, and show you that while riches and position are uncertain, the soul that trusts in Christ is kept secure.
We commend you to Him who knows your frame and your need, beseeching Him to turn this captivity for your good and His glory, and to supply all your need according to His riches in Christ Jesus.
