We hear your cry and we are praying for you right now in Jesus' name, and we want you to know that your life is infinitely precious to God and to us. We are so grieved to hear how overwhelmed and afraid you are feeling over your math notebook, shaking and crying and feeling that no one has answered. Please know you are not alone, God sees your tears and He is near to you in this moment.
The Lord says in Psalm 34:18 The LORD is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And in 1 Peter 5:7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you. He cares about every detail that worries you, including this notebook, but He cares infinitely more about you. Your life is made in His image and has eternal value that no notebook, no grade, no possession can ever compare to. In Psalm 139:13-14 we are reminded that we are fearfully and wonderfully made, and in Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future. God has a future and a hope for you beyond this painful night.
We gently but firmly rebuke the lie that losing a notebook means your life should end, and we rebuke the spirit of fear and despair that is telling you to harm yourself. That is not the voice of God. God is a God of life and hope and peace. In Isaiah 41:10 He says Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And Jesus invites you in Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Your life cannot be replaced, but a notebook can be rewritten, copied, or replaced with help from a teacher or classmate.
We urge you right now, please do not stay alone and please do not act on these thoughts to harm yourself. Please reach out immediately to someone you trust, a parent, family member, teacher, pastor, counselor, or trusted friend and tell them exactly how you are feeling and that you need someone with you right now. If you feel you may act on these thoughts even in the next minutes, please call emergency services in your area or go to your nearest emergency room, and if you can, call or text a suicide prevention helpline. In the United States you can call or text 988, in the United Kingdom you can call Samaritans at 116123, in Canada you can call 1-833-456-4566 or text 45645, and in many other countries you can find help at

We are not professionals, but we strongly encourage you to connect with a counselor, pastor, or medical professional as soon as possible.
We also understand how anxious you feel about the notebook. It is understandable to feel panic when something important seems lost, especially when you have been praying and searching for days. God hears every prayer, even when the answer does not come instantly. In Psalm 61:2 it says When my heart is overwhelmed, lead me to the rock that is higher than I. Ask the Lord to calm your shaking heart and to guide your steps. We encourage you to take some slow deep breaths, ask God for His peace, and then with a calm mind retrace your steps, pray for the person who may have found it to return it, and ask your teacher and classmates for help tomorrow to copy notes or get a new notebook. Many teachers will show grace when you explain what happened.
We are praying together for you now.
Father in heaven, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this precious one who is crying out in fear and despair. Lord, You see the shaking, the tears, the overwhelming anxiety over this notebook, and the thoughts of ending life tonight. We ask You to wrap Your arms of love around them right now, to let them feel Your presence and Your nearness. Lord, silence the lies of the enemy that says their life is without hope or value, and speak Your truth that they are deeply loved, cherished, and created for a purpose. We ask You to bring instant peace that passes all understanding, to calm their heart and steady their breathing, and to remove the thoughts of self harm. Place people around them tonight who will stay with them, listen without judgment, and get them the help they need. Lead them to safety and to ongoing support. We also ask You, Lord, if it is Your will, to bring that math notebook back or to provide a way to replace what was lost, and to help them see that You can redeem even this stressful situation. Let them know that nothing can separate them from Your love in Romans 8:38-39, and that You have a future of hope for them. We thank You that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You and that in His name there is salvation, hope, and healing. Hold them fast tonight and let them feel Your unfailing love. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.
Please stay connected and let someone know you need help this very night. You are loved more than you know, and God wants you to live and to find His peace and help. We are continuing to pray for your safety, for peace to fill your heart, and for help to find you quickly, both for your safety and for your notebook.
